  1. making a double sided stop sign

Left out a few details. 1. create a true square 2. duplicate the square in place and rotate 45deg. 3. weld the two squares and delete key nodes 4. rotate 67.5deg (135deg/2) Always bothered me that when using corel's Polygon Tool and setting the number of sides to 8 always defaults to a...
  2. Need Help Is it possible to add bleed to a .ai or .eps file that has a lot of layers?

Not as simple as that. That's not a true bleed. "Impossible"? No. Time consuming? Yes! But it can be done. The design uses many different fountain fills. Using a single boundary around the shapes as a whole will not allow the needed gradients used. In order to do it properly one would have to...
  3. Layering Printed Vinyl

Yes, it shouldn't be a problem. We do that too when precise placement is too critical to include in the "flat wrap design"
  4. Machine that welds vinyl banner edges and grommets at the same time?

How many banners are you talking about? We use hem tape and a hand grommeter. Grommets usually every 24" or so unless otherwise specified.
  5. Need a little work?

Just saw that on Nasaphotos.com Don't bother trying to find it. The guy who posted it has been "let go" :roflmao:.
  6. Rant of the day

That's why we have corel, illustrator and Acrobat Pro on hand
  7. Best cutting ruler? NOT ALUMINUM!

Ask your insurance rep. Same reason the boss ensures all knives are taken out of the sales area and moved to the production room. All I know is since switching to "steel" edge we have had less injuries over the years. Also less "mis-cuts". Most cuts are on a Keencut anyway.
  8. Best cutting ruler? NOT ALUMINUM!

Why do guns have a "safety"? Who in their right mind would accidentally fire a weapon. p.s. I've been known to run with scissors
  9. Need a little work?

If it gets below 74°F here people pull out the parkas, scarves, gloves, ear warmers, hats, but keep the shorts and flip-flops!
  10. Rant of the day

:omg2: and when you ask to send as pdf they reply "how do I do that?"
  11. Best cutting ruler? NOT ALUMINUM!

Yes, for those that don't know any better, aluminum is too soft of a metal for cutting with an xacto. The blade tends to "catch" or "dig into" the aluminum. Severe safety hazard! We use an aluminum body with a steel strip embedded.
  12. Rant of the day

And just as a reference. This is the sign

  14. Import PDF file into CorelDraw and one name changes....

I agree with JoeRees. The file come in for me (X7) using the correct fonts because I happened to have those. But it does change to a different address as explained. It is most bizarre and intriguing at the same time.
  15. Serious newbie print problem

  16. Serious newbie print problem

Hey Otherside.Creations, you're just down the road from us.
  17. Serious newbie print problem

I half agree with Gino. To "manage" you only need the skills to lead and direct the employees who know how to do the tasks required. But yes, to learn all facets of the business fast via internet is not going to happen. This forum is definitely a good resource but you have to word your questions...
  18. Mimaki CG-FX 160 "Hopping" while cutting

Clean the track that that blade apparatus rolls back and forth on. Gets gooped up like the old mouse ball. Both the rollers and the track. Make sure and use all the pinch rollers too. Set the inner ones at the "softer" spring load (down position) and the outer ones at "strong" (Up position). And...
