Are you a designer, or just a roadside assistant who bought a copy of Corel?
In either case, I think the whole thing needs scrapped. There is nothing worth redeeming.
The idea of the road in a logo has been used to death.
The name is so long that it will be hard to think of something snappy...
I don't normally post my prices in the open.
4'x8' alumalite, b-bond etc from my shop uninstalled with cut vynull is around $450
Painted is the same price. I prefer doing those.
But the hacks will do a hideous looking sign that size for under $250.
People only care about the price, not the...
Looking good.
My fave is the one with the three badges in different colors.
I agree, it's next to impossible to upsell these fire guys to the real thing.
But there's nothing like it.

You can also get it from Pioneer Supply in Pittsburgh.
Or N Glantz.
You can get either Alumalite or any other brand of aluminum composite.

I am a little over 5 feet tall and I think that 48" rolls would be a pain to...

With the tree, it's really busy.
You need to fix your kerning on the black copy.
If you did what Neato did with the blot, I would extend your rule lines into it for continuity.
...I didn't even notice the C & S because everything is so squished and badly spaced. I hate that font too!
Please try to talk your client into at least not stretching or squishing, and tightening the kerning.
In your last example, if you simply eliminated the ink blot, you have a much stronger image than your first attempt. I think simple is always better.
I think the palm tree/state shape icon is a bit redundant if "Carolina" is in the company name.
Not every logo needs an icon.
And your ink...
I like what Neato did with only using the script in the word "Pen".
Surely there has to be a better choice of a pen and ink style script than Scriptina.
If you are going to use it on all of the words, tone down some of the swashes.
I prefer the blot without the tree.
But the blot makes me...
