If I had a life threatening food allergy, I wouldn't trust some random pub at Disney world to listen to my "diet needs". Food orders are made wrong way too often to risk that.
Sounds like they need to overprint/double strike/up the levels of the black, but I honestly don't know anything about dye sub printing so I'm probably wrong. But it makes more sense to me than adding CMY into the mix.
If you've been using Flexi for 18 years then you already know the answer to the question of being behind on the times. Other than different icons, the Windows 98 version is the same as what you're using now.
What are you using to determine how far off the color is? If it's close enough most of the time the customer will never notice or care. Unless they whip out a spectrophotometer or something.
