Is your OS 32bit or 64bit? Sounds like it could be a hardware issue at this point. You could have bad RAM or leaking caps on the motherboard or inside the power supply. Or even some device connected to the PC causing problems.

Did you do any VW updates? What version of VW is it? Could it be some windows permissions error? Can you try creating a new user account on the bad PC and see if it still happens? Check running processes and see if there's anything strange. Might have to reinstall Windows if all else fails.

Does it still not work when you create an EPS on one of the good PCs and transfer it to the bad PC? Are the bad PCs the same hardware? What are they exactly? Do you know how to check if the hard drive is failing? Can you open the PC and see if it looks ok visually?

Try to import the file instead of opening it. If that doesn't work, try opening the file in a different program. Inkscape is free and can open some corel and ai files. If it opens in Inkscape, try saving it as an EPS or some other type of vector, then opening in Corel.

I can't answer about the clear vinyl, but I will say the Briteline translucent adhesive is very aggressive, and if you wet apply and add more soap to the water you shouldn't have a lot of bubbles. I usually do 12 drops of dish soap in a spray bottle of water and not get many bubbles.
