i've never heard of anyone doing that.
design in a known color space and let the RIP work it out.
soft proof with the printer profile maybe? but design with it i don't know about that.
Tovis you can look up rendering intents in the help file or manual with your RIP.. it would probably give a...
your still wrong.
if you look the monitor color covers more area than cmyk color. so if you use the cmyk color space (us swop?) then any colors your printer may be able to print outside that cmyk are not available to you. and then if you use adobe rgb1998 the colors available are even...
Wrong RGB will increase the gamut of most large format printers... if you use only cmyk you are limiting the capabilities of your printer some.. <!-- / message --> <!-- controls -->
i you aren't large like Mcdonalds, FedEx, Nike, etc... then people need to know what you do. these large dominant companies .. everyone knows what they are.
i think you need to have both fairly important but what do you do ... my sign shop is so small that if i had a sign out front that...
Yep these old stripes are a nightmare... i hate removing vinyl and these kinds are the worst. i charge the same hourly rate for this as i would for designing a wrap... i try to get them to do it themselves or hire a body shop and it is still gonna leave a ghosted look behind. but this...
jamie do you build those signs in house? not the emc but the whole monument?
man i would love to do some work like that, but i don't know where to start? the book rick suggested maybe?
i hope i won't always be a vinyl shop....
i agree with isign... the top in just blk and wht looks stark and a little amatureish. the kind of work you do from the pics in the gallery is not well represented by the almost playful and casual logo. if i only saw the logo and top portion i would assume this is one man in his basement...
i don't know if its the jaggedness of the pics you posted but the designs don't seem real polished.
when you see the sign and logo on Outback steakhouse or some other large chain it has a polished look... i did a logo (that never got used) for a local mexican restaurant place and was trying...
i got a request to add one of the little black boy fishing statue images to a layout on a truck... does anyone know where there might be a clipart version?
and before somebodies says it's racist or something it was a black man that wants it.
i remember your first go at this ... the new one here is way better :thumb:
i might make the fade in SignOrg not go to such a dark blue ... or maybe make it solid white?
but its a pretty good job,
does release to layers do it? i'm just guessing as i have never done it but i think in the layers pallet there is a release to layers command that does?
ooops i see rick has already answered
how are you taking them to photoshop? and from what program ...illustrator?
whatever you are using/doing is making a low resolution file if you are getting a lot of jagged pixels.
if i open an AI file in photoshop it ask to specify a size and resolution... choose the something appropriate for...
i thinks its because if this sign had been presented as a layout for a vinyl or printed sign he would have got slammed, but because it's hand painted ... no slamming
