If you have only 2 RIP´s, then it is difficult to share on multiple computers. But, while printing regularly takes much longer time than RIPping, it doesn´t matter if you assign only 1 RIP Engine per Station.
  2. Thrive

Strange. I thought it works more dynamicly, need to test it. But I‘m shure you can limit the number of RIPs reserved for one computer in the settings. I will check that.

    As I have written, optional.
  4. Wanted Cant print white

If you have installed the onyx profiles for the FB500, you will have profiles for CMYK, for printing white over color or white under color. If you want to let onyx just generate a white layer you need to open job editor, go to the tab where you do color replacement, and select the spot color...

I think you havent worked with thrive until now, or dont understand it. You do not need to close anything: as soon as RIP-licences are available (dont rip a job currently) any computer in the network can use them. The only thing making sense is to limit the max number of RIP-threads per...

If you have your printers on one computer only, it will RIP 2 jobs at a time too, as it will do with two separate computers. I don‘t see the difference. And it will assign the RIP-licenses dynamicly, as long as you do not configure the use of a maximum number of rips for each computer. And the...

ColorCheck is not a tool for color precision, biut for color consistency. You save measured values from a test swatch for each print mode, doing additional measurements later, they will be compared and you will be warned if there is a deviation out of tolerance. For color precision, you have...
  8. Wanted Cant print white

If the nozzle test of the white heads are ok, it will be a problem with your RIP. Because you did not mention which RIP do you use, nobody can help you.

    You‘re welcome.
  14. Help with Roland 545ex

Disconnect the tube of the magenta cap top from the pump, connect it to a syringe. If everything with the cap top is ok you should get ink into the syringe when pulling (then the head is filled). If pulling the syringe is very easy without getting ink into the syringe, most probably the cap...

  16. Help with Roland 545ex

Are the ink tubes, dampers and head filled? Put a syringe on the tube of the cap and pull ink manually, does ink flow into the syringe? How old are the caps? In this case it cant be the head fuse, because on the 545 there is 1 fuse for every 2 heads.

These are swiss made by a company WILD Heerbrugg, which went bancrupt in the 90s. For some time, Zund has done service for that machines, but not anymore. If needing spare parts or help, you can try to contact www.mucad.com in Austria.
  18. Fb500

Could be because of the air pressure in the ink system.
  19. Is it true that if you are laminating that it has to match the brand of the digital media?

If the Vinyl and the laminate has different characteristics, you could run into problems. As an extreme sample, print on cast vinyl for car wrapping and laminate it with a monomere calendered vinyl ... of course then the calendered vinyl sets the limit for the whole product, the vinyl can´t be...
  20. Summa S3

Until S-Class 2 (not shure about S-Class 3), the camera was driven by a windows software (integrated into Summa Cutter Control for S-Class 2), not by the cutters firmware itself. And this software can´t work with the camera over network, an USB-connection was mandatory. Apart from that USB is...
