Looks like sta tuff with cut out plexi letters.Probably attached with tie wire.
We got a few signs like this that we maintain.
Almost a shame to junk the Zenith sign but we must do what should and needs to be done
Talking about percentages
Nice renderings very convincing
I enjoy the before and after also.
I like taking angled shots so I can play with the perspective tools in Corel.
I think the before and after is 90% of a sign project.
The vision to see something that's not there, create the new &...
You charge what it is worth
If you are just selling stickers or ink on sheets of vinyl and that's all you have to offer you will end up having to charge what your competition charges for the same kind of work.
On the other hand if you can create a masterpiece that's going to brand and make...
I think it's a conspiracy
I think it's a conspiracy among the vinyl manufacturers.
Seems like there has been a lot of bubble posts going around.
Now that you are hooked on vinyl for a living soon you will have to pay extra for the stuff that never bubbles.
Don't take my opinion serious.
My...
Sure it will work like Moze said use the right vhb.
Also you could cut the vinyl and weed it in reverse and there is your registration for the letters.
On a smaller bucket truck like the 28 footers the cable tv people use the insurance is not that much more for us. Maintenance on these smaller booms is not that bad either.

I feel your pain but
I can smell this kind of customer a mile away and nothing gives me greater pleasure than showing them the door.
I avoid this kind of customer and if I have to engage them I politely give them the boot.
When I say "NO" to a customer like this this I am freed up to be able...
Sometimes we send out for powdercoat.
Most of the time we paint in house

We pay $131 for a 24' $43 for an 8'
It's about $30 for a 3" post
It's $25 for an 8' pvc plus $10 for the wood post.
Painting aluminum is not complicated.

Cool article
I love old buildings.
My last shop was an old late 1800's foundry.
Our new place we got in 2011 was a print shop 1895 until 1960
It was an abandoned ,condemned building that we bought and rehabbed into a functioning sign shop.
Some pic's of the old shop and the new
Front of my...
Nobody wins on a job like this
The customer does not want to pay for a new sign panel he only wants the top portion fixed and thinks it should be cheaper than a new one.
Yes sometimes peeling the old works but most of the time it turns out to be just as much time or more as building a new one...
