  1. Soljet XF

I think I might rather run two used XC-540 and have integrated cutter for about the same price.

  4. Buying a used Soljet IIV 54"

Wouldn't a soljet IIV just be a Soljet III???
  5. How many of you actually use PerfCut?

It's extremely easy to setup it, seems...it's definitely a great feature, it seems...but I NEVER hear anyone talk about it. I would think it'd be a highly talked about feature, but for some reason it's not. I've known about it since day one, but never really tried it.
  6. How many of you actually use PerfCut?

Just curious how many of you actually use Perf cut? Does it really mess the cutting strip up that badly? If so when is it most beneficial to use perf cut? Give me some ideas....not sure we'll ever use it but it's been in the back of my head for a while now - seems pretty useful but no one...
  7. Random color change

have you tried opening and saving the tiff as something like a JPG and seeing if it still does it?
  8. Cut line is always off......

I think this is the most ridiculous post I've ever read on here...recommending to buy a graphtec plotter because your printer isn't performing correctly?! hahaha. Fix the printer - something is very very clearly wrong if the cut is off that far, but not far enough off to recommend someone buying...

  10. Versacamm cutting strip issue

is it always the same distance from the edge of the vinyl that cuts into the liner? if so, it's probably a good chance it's the cut strip.
  11. Fuzzy registration mark printing?

Are you printing uni-directional?? Because the registration dots are always printed bi-directional which may explain the issue. Try doing a bi-directional calibration...
  12. Mimaki vs Roland Print Quality??

Good to know...because I read somewhere that the dot size on the mimaki was much smaller than that of the roland. I want smooth gradients like on paper damnit! :)
  13. Mimaki vs Roland Print Quality??

We're not busy enough to run a two-machine setup - we run out of a big garage right now. I'm more curious about how the print quality compares though... I DO know it'd be a hard switch as we have fantastic support on Rolands here and so far our little Roland machine has been bulletproof.
  14. Mimaki vs Roland Print Quality??

Heyyyyyyy! Up for a little discussion this morning. Was browsing the internet last night, bored, and ran across the CJV30 series Print/Cut Mimakis. Before this, I had no interest in running anything but a Roland. As of now we only run Roland Print/Cut machines, but it got me curious how the...
  15. Soljet XF

The XC and VS can already be setup as dual CMYK i think.....what makes this one faster? ohhhhh I'd be willing to bet it's a dual CMYK setup with the big square head like the VS-series has...But TWO VS-series square heads.
  16. roland library

I wonder if it's registering the actual swatch name and not the color makeup. Try making making a swatch 100 cyan only and name it the same as a red color off the roland swatch library. Then check "convert spot colors" and see if it comes out red or blue...
  17. Help... Printing yellow instead of green sp300v

Are you printing from PDF by chance?? Try opening and resaving as EPS then printing...every blue moon we'll have one file that swaps weird colors when printing from a PDF.

Electrostatic or bi-dir Calibration & feed calibration or Encoder Strip (not likely)
