When you say "poly", do you mean polymeric? I might have been confused. I was thinking non-pvc.

I would find a non-captive agent who can search multiple companies for quotes. I have West Bend Mutual and they have been great.

I know when I had my L360, with adhesive vinyl, I would remove the first ~1/2" of vinyl, leaving just the liner. Then making sure it was pressed down good and never had an issue.

Not sure about Orafol, but on a piece I tested with Hexis, the edges where I used Primer94 did NOT want to come off! They left all of the glue when they did. I did notice though when applying the vinyl, it doesn't grab instantly like when using 3M vinyl.

I am loving all of the Hexis medias right now!! I use the HX200 with their cast laminate, which works awesome!! But I will admit that for outdoor signs, I will use Primer94 on the edges. I have been doing that for a while.

When I got mine, I believe V9, you could get it preinstalled on a macmini. That just got really slow as I tend to work with large file sizes. I agree, the ripping time was cut DRASTICALLY!! I too use all of the settings for the best quality, but say will slow it down and it's still fast.

I use caldera and run it on my old imac after I updated my design computer to a macpro. The imac still has really good specs, which is probably a little overkill for a RIP, but its fast and I already had it. So it works.
