I use Substance media a lot!! They make some great materials!! I am using an Epson S70 through Caldera, designs done in Illustrator. I don't remember all of my settings in the RIP, but I get the best black when using 0,0,0,100. For me just using 100% K, the blacks are deep and not tinted at all...
I have a HP 360 and an Epson S70. I like them both and they both have advantages and disadvantages. If I could only keep one, it would be the Epson. I have overall just had better luck with it. Has it been perfect, no. Tech support for HP and Epson have both been great, in my area anyways. I am...
The items I have done are not meant for long term, but I have had decent luck by turning up the optimizer a little and then cranking the heat!! I doubt it will handle a wash, but it doesn't seem to rub off right away.
I have done both. I guess it depends on the rates. I have purchased the last several times since my local bank gave me a WAY better rate than the leasing company. To the tune of saving over $100 per month! I would also agree that talking to your accountant is your best bet.
I will second that it looks VERY Streaky when you first get done, but does even out over time.
I also thought that it creased very easy. And once it did, it wasn't coming out. I did do a job where I printed on it and laminated it with a matte laminate. That worked out great!
Yeah, that seems odd. Unless you are running the wheels off of it, I can't image that they would wear out that fast! That is what my tech told me that error code means. You can just reset it, but it takes whatever software that the techs use.
I got my last ones from domeit.com. They were good to work with. I had one cartridge look like it had leaked and they replaced it right away and threw in an extra one for the hassle. I am just getting going on this, so I don't have a lot of experience.
When I have had this, I would take a cleaning sponge soaked in cleaner and gently press it against the bottom of the head. Just make sure you don't rub it. Then after a cleaning or 2 it went away.
I have done this with all (3) latex models. The printer simply stops telling you an ink is empty. It will depressurize the ink system, then will start back up once you put a new ink in. Just follow the on screen prompts and you won't have any issues. I never have anyways. I always run them until...
That does help! I am getting close to pulling the trigger on one. I think it would be a good intro into a flatbed. I don't do a lot of that type of work yet, but definitely have some roll media that I use that would benefit from using UV inks.
The "old" style look like a large piece of felt and only have a couple of hooks where they attach in the platen area. The new ones have a solid metal bracket going all of the way across where they connect in the platen area. The material is also more of a teflon. And have the velcro on the...
Make sure you have the latest platen covers. My 360 is a year old and I was having the same issues!! I called Grimco's tech support and they let me know that HP came out with an updated version on them. The new ones have a bracket that goes all of the way across where they hook on in the print...
What do you think of the LED 1600? I have been looking at them, but haven't come across anyone else with one. Do you like it overall? Would you buy it again (recommend it)?
