    I used to do a lot of mailing list and mass mailing stuff - As long as the software will export to a "usable" file format, you'll be good.

    Actually, it's closer to "you buy Illustrator, and then you have to write the program to draw bezier curves." Personally, I'd go with a pre-built mailing list program, or with just a spreadsheet.

    At the same time, it generally doesn't hurt to have those programs available. I keep Open Office installed simply because I get files which were created with it...

    www.openoffice.org - came out of Sun Microsystems. They've got some nice -free- software... You can set up a usable database in their Excel clone.

    also a suggestion i would lose the txting typing mode it is irritating and hard to read and we are communicators not txtrs so how we write spell etc is a very important part of your image do you know what i mean

    Yeah, don't count on any help from the Flexi people... If you have an old computer running XP somewhere, load it up, and see if it works. I'm guessing an interface problem - somewhere it's getting its i/o screwed up.

    Yeah - did the new one come with any crapware installed? Pull off any antivirus (don't use it for internet or downloading...) stuff, and the rest of that sort of thing... Don't load anything that isn't specifically required.
