  2. Sprucing up an older boat

Here's a before and after pic of a boat we did last week. I don't enjoy boats... but eh. lol.
  3. Union made decals??

Dear OP, without Unions the US would be a more prosperous country. They had their place in time, just like the 8 track. Neither are really needed anymore.
  4. My customer rant for the day

Might as well throw in a new rant. Got chewed out for being too high priced. Customer wanted a 5' x 3' one color decal. Would take a few minutes to vectorize the art he gave me too. He said his buddy makes 'em for $30, and cheaper if he gets quantities. Can I match that...
  5. Happy Bithday Gino!

Keep the celebration going all weekend!
  6. Screen printing signs... cobwebs?

Sorry my bad. Was using coro ink, not regular plastisol. Just fiddled until I found the right combo for thinning the ink.

  8. good chrome vinyl for vehicles

R-Tape Vinyl FX, hands down. I get mine from Pacific Coast Sign Supply, it is worlds better than Oracal or any other brand I've tried. Thicker, easy to cut and weed, applies easily. It's still chrome and you're taking a gamble, but it's the best stuff I've tried.
  9. You make stickers, right?

I could really care less. I usually refer to them as decals, but sometimes that throws people off. Had someone all pissed at me because they didn't want a "decal", they wanted a "sticker" and couldn't understand why I only made decals.....well, come to find out they thought "decal" was printed...
  10. how would i do this??...speckled flake look

Have you ever tried this? I did as a dumb kid, looks like ****. Cold laminate only looks good when applied over a clean, smooth surface. Flakes are....raised edges. No bueno.
  11. Hall of Fame threads

Thanks Rick :) Can't say I want to bring up some...um, uncomfortable moments here but eh, if it's good entertainment guess it's ok lol.
  12. Hall of Fame threads

O man, no early Flame threads please :(
  13. Which vinyl to wrap speakers?

Not that I consider myself a lowballer by anyone's terms, but I swear 651 lasts longer outdoors than 751. I had to re-do a 751 job not that long ago, and I have a tanker with 651 that's been outdoors for 8 years on a construction job site, that looks primo, doesn't even show shrinkage. Doesn't...
  14. Cardpads

O snap.... here we go. I have. Quite often honestly. Gives the impression you're new or don't have a lot invested in your business. Sigh. Just fyi with that design you posted, the cutoff letters, and THIS statement, there's a 90% chance you're about to get reamed by about the whole...
  15. My customer rant for the day

    EXACTLY!!!! :rock-n-roll:
  16. Shout out to BigFish

  17. So it has come to my attention that....

He is judging you to b a troll, and he has every right to. I think you are a troll too. Where's your bridge though? :banghead:
  18. My customer rant for the day

Don't forget he came in at noon on a Thursday, and wanted them on Friday so he could install them that night and then go on vacation. ;)
  19. My customer rant for the day

Yep, just gotta get it out of my system. Guy came in and wants some white cut vinyl by tomorrow. Had another guy that was going to cut it for him but he keeps being flakey and not calling back...you know the story. So, he tells me he wants a wavey checkerboard design with some swirls and stuff...
  20. Fonts off of RV

They didn't really want to spend any design time so I fudged a bit here and there and just billed them for a half hour. Before and after, off to print.
