  1. SP540V not printing 1 color

    Exactly.
  2. SP540V not printing 1 color

Now that we know it's not an ink flow issue, it's probably an electrical one. If you do a cable swap it will tell you if it's the head or the main board. Basically do what you did with the dampers to the head cables. Make sure to turn the machine off, unplug it and wait 15 minutes to avoid...
  3. Change file from cmyk to rgb

At the end of the day designing in RGB to hit better colors is really a band aid on a bigger issue. If you properly color profile your printer on your media and calibrate your monitor, you can design in CMYK and get the full gamut your printer is capable of without having to guess with RGB.
  4. SP540V not printing 1 color

My guess is there is more damage to the main board than has been discovered. When transistors pop on that board it means the power surge was big enough to cause damage before the fuse popped. That would mean it was a fairly big surge and probably caused a good amount of damage. You could do a...
  5. Mimaki JV300-160 techs are stumped

It looks like you're getting a good amount of cross contamination in almost every channel. That would point towards a bad cap top or poor drainage in the maintenance system. I would pop the cap tops off and flush cleaning solution through the pump to make sure it's not fully or partially...
  6. UCJV 150 black lines on prints

Do an air purge. Too much air in the system will cause cross contamination like this.
  7. CJV 150-75 New head not printing cyan

I would try seeing if you can flush the cyan channels gently to see if it's possible they clogged during the fill up but otherwise give us a call and we can help troubleshoot further. We are here 9 to 5. Thanks!
  8. CJV 150-75 New head not printing cyan

Unfortunately the fact that you were able to pull ink in to the other channels means the maintenance station is working and the fact that cyan will print properly in a different channel rules out ink flow above the head as well. That leaves electrical issues and in my experience those tend to...
  9. mimaki cjv 150 cyan yellow overlapping

It's possible the cams that hold the head down are loose which would allow the head to slowly move out of alignment. I can't think of any other way that pattern would happen other than that as long as the bi-directional alignments are in line.
  10. CJV 150-75 New head not printing cyan

The fact that it prints fine in the black spot but black can't print in the cyan spot is pointing towards head damage unfortunately. It means those channels are damaged in some way.
  11. Solution to chargeback on credit card

Just had a fraudulent transaction last week. Someone used a stolen credit card and we noticed the signs so we didn't send the product. The actual card holder called today wondering why we charged his card. We of course gave him the refund, avoided a chargeback, and we aren't out the money...
  12. CJV 150-75 New head not printing cyan

You changed all of the ink lines but did you change all of the o-rings at the connections?
  13. Question Do Mutoh MP11 inks freeze?

I don't know about that ink specifically but in my experience they generally want the room to be a certain temperature during operation but when not being used it doesn't matter as long as you bring it up to room temp before using it again.
  14. mimaki cjv 150 cyan yellow overlapping

Did you run your drop position correction alignment? Looks like the bi-directional alignment is off. If you're printing uni-directional, it's more likely a physical alignment that's off. Did you just change the head?
  15. Computer type

    Yup
  16. Need Help Banding issues on Roland vs-540

Post a picture of the issue and the nozzle check. Usually banding in one color is going to be either missing or deflecting nozzles, a bad damper, a broken head manifold, and/or a failing head.
  17. Mimaki jfx500 gen5 misfire

In my experience it's pretty hard to recover these heads once they get deflecting nozzles like that. You can try doing nozzle washes or even flush the whole system but most likely you just need a new head. If you haven't changed the primary filters in over a year, you might change those as well...
  18. UPS Shipping

We use Shippo and it gets the job done but is kind of clunky. We usually have to hit the button to sync orders twice and then refresh to get it to show the new orders. It does go down once in a while which is just how it goes with cloud services but they tend to get back up and running within...
  19. Question What kind of vinyl for heavy machinery decals and WHERE do I buy it??

Yeah something like Arlon DPF8000 but most other vinyl brands have something equivalent.
  20. Bad Black prints

Make sure your cap top is clean and if it's 6 - 12 months or older, I would just change it. While you're in there, flush the cap top and pump tubes with a syringe to make sure it's not clogged. Then run a nozzle wash and set it for an hour. That will try to break up any full or partial clogs in...
