We are having issues with the cut path getting shifted off the correct location when printing to our AGFA printers and trying to cut on our Colex.
We place the cut lines on the artwork then bring it into Onyx Thrive. From there we tell it we are cutting on the Colex Sharpcut. The file prints...
I'm sorry for your loss, looks like your father ran a good business.
Just FYI. That Roland printhead you posted on Ebay, does not look new. You can see the old ink left in a ring by the captop. If it's indeed used, I would toss it as it has no value.
Good luck with your other sales.
We purchased a 1024i for our AGFA from DigiPrint, took 3-4 weeks to come in. When it did finally come in it was as described, installed with no issues. 1/3 of the price as AGFA's list.
I'm guessing its the blade / blade holder bouncing up and down at idle? If so, yes, that's "normal" on "some" GR cutters. It has not, to this point, impacted the long-term durability of the machines we have in the field.
Paper labels have their place. Our customers often use them for food packaging labels. The Roland material also works well for labels that need to stick to cardboard or other surfaces that vinyl typically curls back from when printed full bleed.
If you have a VG/SG dry time, both for print and cut and print only are controlled by the printer, not VW. This works well for most users as they no longer have to remember to set / turn off dry time for each job. Those that use a dry time for print and cut use it pretty much every time and now...
The dry times are now controlled in the printer itself. You can control the print & cut dry time as well as the print only dry time, they are now independently adjustable. Look in the menu of the printer. I believe its under menu, sub menu, heater menu, and dry time.
At first glance this seemed...
A VG is actually about 20% faster than the RF when inked in the same configuration (CMYKx2). It also has a few more nice features like auto switching between ink bags as well as a cheaper cost/sqft.
The native resolution of the printhead on the new FlexFire heads is a bit misleading. It does...
Yes it is.
If you are looking to tighten the gap between the two look at the 54 base or better yet, the 54EL. Both are 54" cold units and will do a great job with the assistance of a good operator.
The problem pictured is media, not the head. Notice how the pattern lines up with the pinch rollers?
However, the R2000 head is water based. Unless you changed out the manifold it will likely fail shortly as I'm sure you are running solvent ink (SS21 or ES3).
Put the old waste tank back in. You will need to run it until the printer stops when the tank is 100% full, then change it. The BN-20 utility will ask you did you change the tank, you will say yes, and the counter will be reset.
No point in changing it early, just have an extra on hand when it...
