  2. JFX200EX cleat issues

Strange. I would get the profile from a working machine and install it on the problematic machine and see if it's any different. It looks like the clear has not had enough time to settle.
  3. JFX200EX cleat issues

FYI I have never used a mimaki. How does the clear channel work? On the Oce/Canon Arizonas, the clear is printed without curing, left to settle to smooth out, then goes back over to cure it. Because that looks like it's printed and cured in the same pass? maybe that's the issue?
  4. JFX200EX cleat issues

Photos usually help. If there's no banding in any other channel, id look at redoing the alignments. may have been something you've missed.
  5. What would you like to learn more about in the print ind?

Thanks for everyone's suggestions to that they'd like to learn, The reason why i was asking is that i've been recording some tutorials for our clients that i'll be posting on our website and youtube. So i thought i'd extend it to helping others in print by going over some of our practices we...
  6. Electric paper cutters (guillotines)

Being German, i think it'll be great!. We gave it a quick service, oil and grease etc. very basic internals. i've ran a few jobs on it, no issues. I'll probably get the spare blade sharpened and use it for a few years or so.
  7. Electric paper cutters (guillotines)

this is the one with the electric clamp and blade. just a manual backplate. basically good enough for most jobs. For what i paid for it, it wouldn't pay for a new mechanical one..So im wrapped!

press the windows key and search "high contrast" then it'll take you to a screen where you can turn high contrast on and off. That's probably the issue.
  13. Question How to get a better profile? Epson s80600, Onyx Thrive 19 and Xrite i1 Profiler

Linearisation is important. - you shouldn't be skipping steps. Except G7, that's absolutely useless for inkjets. Follow everything that FrankW said.
  14. Onyx 21 Sputtering with HP 360

Have you opened a bunch of files and checked task manager to see the CPU usage? x21 can utilise multi threading. the fact your cpu is only 4c /4t. I believe it’s bottle knocking. when I put x21 on my old Xeon workstation with 4c / 8t it would lock up on me every time I rip a file.

  16. What do you think are the pain points of the flatbed printer industry?

So you want a fast, high quality printer, with good inks, good UI, with all the bells and whistles and so on... So you want a Swissqprint at Mimaki JFX prices?
  17. Onyx 21 Sputtering with HP 360

Onyx X21 is lightyear's ahead of X11. How many print licences / rip engines do you have? How many cores does the CPU have? or what i5 is it? (i5 7600k for example?)
  18. I think i may have made the biggest mistake ever buying a new Mutoh

Pay someone to make your media profiles or invest in the equipment to make your own. Just because canned profiles are not available, it's not the end of the world.
