  2. Need Help window perf failure

If you are cleaning things before applying vinyl, use isopropyl alcohol, not denatured. Also, for cleaning windows, you can use acetone. That's what window installers use. However with acetone you have to watch for acetone damaging things it runs onto, like paint and plastic. The same is true...
  3. Outdoor flag material recommendation

I don't think you'll get 2-3 years durability from a printed or sublimated flag. Flags like that could be sewn with appliques and would be the most durable.
  4. Gunslinger Font

Myfonts.com has 10 of his other fonts for sale, but not Gunslinger. Maybe it's discontinued?
  5. Epson S80 White ink longevity

Orange ink starts fading in 3-6 months outdoors. It makes all your reds turn pink. We have only used the white and silver on motocross decals because of the longevity problem. Bikes are only outside on the weekends when they race and at practice; the rest of the time they are in a garage or a...
  6. Epson S80 White ink longevity

We use an S70 with white ink. If Epson gives it a 6 month life, consider that an optimistic figure.
  7. Need Help window perf failure

It's obviously a repellent coating. Best to find out from the owner what they had put on the windows.
  8. jv300 Prints not lasting

It's probably the orange ink. It only lasts a few months outdoors compared to the other colors which last 3-5 years. Make profiles which only use the C, M, Y, K, Lc, Lm inks without using orange when you do outdoor signs.
  9. Question Not quite sure what it's called.........................

I've never seen a double sided photo paper for large format. Is it made? Seems like that spec is intending something run on a color printer or copier with sheet stock.
  10. Suggested dpi for non-vector image

For a "perfect" printed image, I do the same as Tex. 150 dpi at final size on the printed piece. 100 dpi at final size is usually quite acceptable, and 72 dpi is usually OK most of the time. 50 dpi and below it will be obviously pixelated. That said, the quality of the image plays a large part...

  12. Suggestions Need shop T shirts screen printed in Florida...

Atlas used to do minimum 2 dozen. I am a distributor for them, so I checked the wholesale website and then called them, and they have gotten contracted on a few very large clients that are taking their whole production. So they are not currently taking any more orders for screenprinting until...
  13. Suggestions Need shop T shirts screen printed in Florida...

If they are white shirts, price Direct to Garment with Atlas. It will be a lot less. At only 2 dozen shirts it's the 8 screen charges that are killing you.
  14. Truck Wraps - That Space between the box & Cab

We usually just go around the curve onto the flat area. There's no need to go further into the area you cannot see when the vehicle is on the road (if you're doing advertising wraps). If you're doing a color change, you'd pretty much have to take the bed off and wrap the whole area between cab...
  15. Eco-Solvent Ink Material for Epson 80600

After looking up Chromaspec, I think you're looking for non-adhesive films, correct? It's going to be harder to find those, since the Epson is a sign printer and the vast majority of products advertised to print with it will be pressure sensitive adhesive vinyl (and a few PSA non-vinyls). There...
  16. Epson S30670 Help

They do it with a tech program on a laptop connected to the printer. That's why a tech has to do it. The Epson is not intended for user-serviceability.
