Just beware with digiprint that if you have any problems with the head they will do everything they can not to replace it or refund you! Had a problem with a a faulty head and they wanted it sending back to Germany to 'test' it, then I may have got a replacement in a couple of months. No good...

It could be the cable is worn and stretching slightly. It has to move more weight when printing rather than just cutting where the heads detatch. There is nothing software related that would make it print in the wrong place, so is most likely hardware, so I would be looking at replacing the cable

In the service menu there is a setting for linear encoder setup and linear encoder calibration. Run thess first and see if the results improve. This should be done before any head alignments are done.

I would clean, or change the encoder strip first as it seems to be losing its position on the bi-directional printing as you can see by it printing the numbers in different places rather than on top of each other like it should. If that doesn't help then it could be the encoder sensor isn't...

There are a few common things to check. Assuming your dampers are fine, and when you do a powerful clean then you are getting black ink coming through? If so you know the head isn't clogged. The old head may print because it still has some ink in it, you need to ascertain if the new head is...

If you had just changed the heads I would look at replacing the cable to the black head, or swapping it with one of the others. The printer gets the head temp from the black one. I cant see any reason changing the heads would have damaged the platen thermistor. I was getting a temperature too...

I would agree with all the above advice, but also if you aren't going to be using it much at home, make up a file with some 2 inch squares of cyan, magenta, yellow and black - enough to fill the width of the vinyl - and print this out every few days. It won't use much ink and will keep the ink...

As above. Cutters work best when they are working from vectors. You need to create your artwork as a vector, then when you export it to versaworks do it as an EPS file. It will never cut very well from a jpeg or similar raster file as they don't have a defined edge for the cutter to follow

If you have two fuses on the main board, it should be one for each head. You should still be getting some output from one of the heads if the fuse for that is testing fine.

It looks almost like certain nozzles are just getting random signals to fire when they aren't meant to
