  1. Wanted After a DX4 head for SP-300

Just beware with digiprint that if you have any problems with the head they will do everything they can not to replace it or refund you! Had a problem with a a faulty head and they wanted it sending back to Germany to 'test' it, then I may have got a replacement in a couple of months. No good...
  2. Need Help cut being stretched from one edge

It could be the cable is worn and stretching slightly. It has to move more weight when printing rather than just cutting where the heads detatch. There is nothing software related that would make it print in the wrong place, so is most likely hardware, so I would be looking at replacing the cable
  3. Roland sp 540v bi directionnel problem

Glad that worked, that looks a lot better !
  4. Roland sp 540v bi directionnel problem

In the service menu there is a setting for linear encoder setup and linear encoder calibration. Run thess first and see if the results improve. This should be done before any head alignments are done.
  5. Roland sp 540v bi directionnel problem

I would clean, or change the encoder strip first as it seems to be losing its position on the bi-directional printing as you can see by it printing the numbers in different places rather than on top of each other like it should. If that doesn't help then it could be the encoder sensor isn't...
  6. not printing cyan or black Roland SP300v

There are a few common things to check. Assuming your dampers are fine, and when you do a powerful clean then you are getting black ink coming through? If so you know the head isn't clogged. The old head may print because it still has some ink in it, you need to ascertain if the new head is...
  7. Need Help Roland SP300v Error Code HELP

If you had just changed the heads I would look at replacing the cable to the black head, or swapping it with one of the others. The printer gets the head temp from the black one. I cant see any reason changing the heads would have damaged the platen thermistor. I was getting a temperature too...
  8. Roland SP-300V Service Manual?

If anyone wants it though, just drop your email address here and I can send it out
  9. Roland SP-300V Service Manual?

Sorry I dont, but they are basically exactly the same printer other than the width, so most things are the same on them
  10. Storing/Transporting Roland SP-300V

I would agree with all the above advice, but also if you aren't going to be using it much at home, make up a file with some 2 inch squares of cyan, magenta, yellow and black - enough to fill the width of the vinyl - and print this out every few days. It won't use much ink and will keep the ink...
  11. Roland SP-300V Service Manual?

Hi, if you let me have your email address I can send it over as I have it here
  12. Roland Versercamm SP540i - Banding and nozzle issues

You have a lot of nozzle deflection as well on the black, this will cause prints to be fuzzy. What you can try is to print in high quality mode, and overprint 2 times ( you will also need to go into the image properties in Versaworks and up the brightness level to full ). In high quality mode...
  13. VersaWorks Contour Cut incorrectly applied

As above. Cutters work best when they are working from vectors. You need to create your artwork as a vector, then when you export it to versaworks do it as an EPS file. It will never cut very well from a jpeg or similar raster file as they don't have a defined edge for the cutter to follow
  14. Roll stopped rotating, printed in same spot. Now not printing at all

If you have two fuses on the main board, it should be one for each head. You should still be getting some output from one of the heads if the fuse for that is testing fine.
  15. Help ! weird problem, black head and cyan head both firing at same time SP300

It looks almost like certain nozzles are just getting random signals to fire when they aren't meant to
  16. Help ! weird problem, black head and cyan head both firing at same time SP300

It isnt firing over the cyan and magenta head at all, only when trying to print cyan?
  17. Help ! weird problem, black head and cyan head both firing at same time SP300

Thanks, no definitely isnt an ink mixing problem, this is the actual black nozzles firing
  18. Help ! weird problem, black head and cyan head both firing at same time SP300

Have a strange problem on my SP300 - when I print or do a test print some nozzles on the black head are firing at the same time as the cyan. When I try and do a test print of a block of cyan, it has thin black lines going through it where some of the black nozzles are also firing at the same...
