  1. Mimaki UCJV300-160 patchy printing

If there is no ink temp control, why do we have to wait to print every time we send down a job?
  2. Wacky error when importing cut-only files into Onyx

I've personally never been able to get the cut-only workflow to work in Onyx. I do believe the svg settings have to be just right in order for it to work. Have you tried exporting from Composer (as eps, ai or pdf) then importing into Illustrator instead of copy/paste?
  3. Unique project - need fabrication advise!

Form it out of clear acrylic then add brushed silver accents?
  4. What is your quoting procedure?

Cool, thanks. Will check it out! I've never heard of that platform before.
  5. What is your quoting procedure?

I'd say that's a worthy investment if it's designed to work just the way you want it! Also curious if it's Filemaker based or standalone app.
  6. MISys Manufacturing Software

Same here. Out of the box they're never designed the way I like and it usually just makes me wish I knew how to code/design my own apps. I haven't heard of MISys before but looks pretty powerful. We've been evaluating PrintLogic and out of the box it's not perfect but they're very helpful...
  7. Gerber Omega Lagging?

Cool, thanks! Downloaded "Everything" and it is super fast. I can't stand windows search on any version after Win7.
  8. Gerber Omega Lagging?

Where did you find the prm files? I'll have to have a look at ours, probably also full of useless files!
  9. Rush Fees

And roughly how long from first contact from customer to approval? I find once jobs are figured out, proofed, and approved we can crank them out pretty quickly but the steps from first contact to proofing is usually what ends up being a bottleneck.
  10. Question Is this considered grainy?

Yes. Are you using only K to build those greys?
  11. Double Sided Magnets

Yeah I wouldn't want to try this for a vehicle. In our application the customer wanted OPEN/CLOSED for some sort of file folder storage system.
  12. Advice with stocking router bits

Was actually thinking about this yesterday, will need to put an order in for some more HD/Single edge blades soon!

Gino you scared him off! :roflmao:
  15. Letterheads 1985

May 16th was a busy day, it was hard to keep up with all the verbal diarrhea flying around here. :roflmao:
  16. Double Sided Magnets

We had a customer request this......once. We just made 2 separate magnets w/ graphics applied to magnet side and combined them w/ 3M mounting adhesive, if I remember correctly.
  17. Letterheads 1985

I guess we'll never know...........Joe went out in a blaze of glory after a full day of rants and hasn't come back since. Hope he's ok.
  18. Deciding Between Industrial CNC and ShopSabre

Not to mention that this has absolutely nothing to do with sign-making or a sign company.......................but I guess anything goes around here these days.
  19. Cost of HF router?

Just finished cutting up a bunch of 3mm acm parking sign blanks on our F1612 with the standard router - works great. Took a while to find a bit/settings I was happy with but I think we're there. This is what we're currently using: Onsrud 65-018
  20. Price check on aisle 3 - Chrome Delete 2022 F-150

Thanks for this! I actually called a local shop that does tons of this stuff and they broke it down and had similar prices as you did. If all those parts were magically off the vehicle I feel like we could make money at those rates but it's all the removal/dismantling that takes lots of time...
