Could you use a metallic gold wallpaper or vinyl instead? Might be simpler.

There are several possible explanations. Is your test print perfect now? What profiles are you using in PS/VW? How are you exporting files? In your example, that blue color (on screen) is probably out of gamut so RIP is trying it's best to interpret/match it and failing.
