I've personally never been able to get the cut-only workflow to work in Onyx. I do believe the svg settings have to be just right in order for it to work.
Have you tried exporting from Composer (as eps, ai or pdf) then importing into Illustrator instead of copy/paste?
Same here. Out of the box they're never designed the way I like and it usually just makes me wish I knew how to code/design my own apps. I haven't heard of MISys before but looks pretty powerful.
We've been evaluating PrintLogic and out of the box it's not perfect but they're very helpful...
And roughly how long from first contact from customer to approval? I find once jobs are figured out, proofed, and approved we can crank them out pretty quickly but the steps from first contact to proofing is usually what ends up being a bottleneck.
Here is what we use on our F1612 standard router:
3mm/6mm ACM: Onsrud 65-018
3mm/6mm Acrylic: Onsrud 66-086
3mm/6mm PVC.....I'll have to check next time I'm in the back shop
We had a customer request this......once.
We just made 2 separate magnets w/ graphics applied to magnet side and combined them w/ 3M mounting adhesive, if I remember correctly.
Not to mention that this has absolutely nothing to do with sign-making or a sign company.......................but I guess anything goes around here these days.
Just finished cutting up a bunch of 3mm acm parking sign blanks on our F1612 with the standard router - works great. Took a while to find a bit/settings I was happy with but I think we're there.
This is what we're currently using: Onsrud 65-018
Thanks for this! I actually called a local shop that does tons of this stuff and they broke it down and had similar prices as you did.
If all those parts were magically off the vehicle I feel like we could make money at those rates but it's all the removal/dismantling that takes lots of time...
