    2 pass is pretty big and would cause banding so I would think that it's pretty normal. If you had banding at 8 or 12 pass, that would be more concerning.

    I've done this several times and you could do several things. You could use primer 94 along the edges, use a piece of clear lam to seal it, or you could wrap over the edge. You could also make them disposable so it doesn't matter.

    Nope, I usually feed half way into the heater. Usually don't have any problems. Try using a leader attached to the take up roller and feed material back through the printer. Banner material works great.

    We tried the laptop thing with our rip for a little bit. Found it to unstable to use long term. Battery issues, charger issues, graphics issues, processor issues, port issues, when something went wrong it was more expensive to fix and we were down longer.     Jpegs are the bane of our existence. If you have to work in a raster format why not use one that is uncompressed such as PNG, TIFF, you could also save as a PDF. All or any of these will help you out.

    Charge by the hour not by the SqFt. How many hours is it going to take you? Does the truck have rivets, what type of material, how complex is the graphic, what about cleaning and prep, are you printing or just installing, are you a sub contractor, is it in your facility?
