It all depends on what your doing and what market your in.
We're rocking:
Adobe Photoshop CC
Adobe Illustrator CC
Corel
Felxi Cloud (design and production manager)
Gerber Composer
Each one has they pro's and con's and each one comes in handy.
This might not be true. I'm rocking a couple of 570's which are a little different than the 360's but my curing temp for 100% ink density and 10 pass is only 215 degrees fahrenheit.
I wonder if you might be baking the ink and creating a 'hydrophobic' type result? As odd as it might seem...
It all depends on what your comfortable with and are willing to stand behind. There's also the rare occurrence of projects requiring specific material. We're a 3M shop, but Oracal, Avery and from what I'm told Hexis all make fine films. I personally have not had good experience with Arlon but...
If you torch it for a quick second the scratches go away. You can also just leave it out in the hot sun for a few hours. The plasticizes will come back out and you'll be good to go. (fyi don't torch matte lam)
Laminating might take a minute or two to figure out and each machine/set up will have it's own quirk. You might just have to take and moment and figure out a new technique. But yes if it's printed it should be laminated. The only time we don't laminate printed vinyl is if it's temp (like a...
The new gen 3 inks for the HP latex have a 'scratch resistance' feature to them. If they are not cured properly than the bond between the laminate and ink will fail. Ways to help with this depending on your setup, you might want to look at increasing your number of passes so that there is more...
What do you think of Muse so far? I've been messing around with it for a little while and the responsive aspect of it is a little frustrating at times trying to get everything to be responsive and still look good. Adding the breakpoints in nice but I found that you definitely need to have an...
There are several things you can do depending on how involved you want to get. If your looking for something simple and have a few hours to learn something new you can look at Adobe Muse. You can download an template and put you own stuff into. It's no to complicated to learn and you build...
So your looking to laminate 60" 3m 1080? Can you use a 64" lam, and just trim the excess off as it comes out? I do it all the time with 48" reflective and 54" luster lam and don't have an issue.
In theory, could you not line of the material centered onto the lam, run it and as it comes out...
You might be having issues due to your profiles not set up correctly. Some material might require a longer dwell time in the heaters but not as much heat. For example I have found that with stiffer materials such as HIP and DG reflective a higher pass count but lower temperature is better as...
They have 3D scanners and cameras that you can do it with. Basically you can scan a object, load it into you 3d software 'unwrap it' which will give you a 2d shape that than can be used to wrap a 3D object, they even have it for doing hydro-graphics.
I've not printed on paper yet so I wouldn't want you to send you down a rabbit hole. They have a optimizer test that you can run which will help you determine the best optimizer for the material. We run it on all new media and it really helps.
One thing that also effects over spray is...
