For the limit initialization, I would assume it would be similar to the SP-300V, which you can do as follows: remove I/S Cover, then turn on sub power while pressing left, up and right keys. Then follow the instructions on the screen and you should be good.

I would also make sure your head alignment is perfect too, but like previously mentioned, you'll need to play around with profiles. Also have you tried going very slow, as I find on my SP-300V's, sometimes I need to go very slow to get the nice clean prints.

Orafol Orajet 3651 Might work for you, it's a transparent adhesive media and prints really well on wide format Roland Inkjet Printers. I believe it might come in matte, but we've only used the Gloss.

Hi Carrie, If you can get your hands on the service manual, it does give you instructions on how to do this. I have had to change them on our SP-300V's a few times over the years and the manual is very helpful. If you are unable to get your hands on it, I would recommend taking the top covers...

You should be fine, I've done big jumps in the past without any issues.

To me it also sounds like a network issue, maybe the network cord is chewy and isn't sending a good enough signal. But a direct connect to the printer with a good ethernet cord would be my first suggestion too.

Hi Jim, I would suggest replacing the cap tops and every morning before you use the printer, do a normal cleaning. I have 2x SP-300V's and have learned a lot about them, and one thing is, they like their daily normal cleanings to stay at peak efficiency.

I would recommend you buy something used to start, go with something like the Roland VS-300i or 540i, it's a quick and reliable printer/cutter.

I noticed it's asking for you to update versaworks, had you tried to make sure it had the latest version, don't see how that would not make it work. I have windows 10 and using my SP-300V with Versaworks 5.5.1 without any issues.

They are located right above the head, as they connect into the head to dispense the ink to it.

Have you made sure that the damper has ink in it? I've had a similar issue with my VS-300i.

I'm not familiar with your model, but they are on the main board on the SP-300V. I would assume they would be there, all you need is a multi meter to test to see if current goes through or not, if no current, then it's blown. But since you said no print at all, depending how many heads that...

Might be a fuse. I know I had a similar issue with our Roland SP-300V, one of the heads had blown a fuse and had to solder another one on.

I'm not sure about the SC-540, but the SP-300V you can lower the capping station while the power it off with the tube thing that come with the machine, you just go underneath and insert it in the hold and turn to lower and then the opposite direction once back in place to raise it. Hope that...
