It's their first latex flatbed so in that sense it's first generation.
I'm sure the inks are great. I own a couple of their little rollfed machines and love the scratch resistance and instant cure.
But they won't have v6 on their server.
Best case is you'll get a reduced upgrade fee to the current version.
Someone may have install disks for that version which you could install, if it runs on current OS, and has drivers for any printers you may now have.
I always found flexcut to be slow, noisy and leaves a slightly serrated edge to cuts.
I think you'll do a faster better job on posters with a rotary trimmer or long ruler and blade.
Metamark Dusted etch is even better. We use a lot of it printed on the rear.
This job was done in 3 layers with white in between colour on our Arizona but even without white they still look good.
We print perf on our Epson 60600 and just use the same profile as the SAV it will going next to.
Maybe bump up densities 10-15% to compensate for the holes.
As well as those specs above make sure all your network cards are gigabit.
Working on and printing huge files across a network will slow down if the network cards aren't up to it.
