  1. Anyone stop accepting credit cards?

The fee is worth it to get paid right away. Here we can pass the charge onto the customer but we don't. Amex have reduced their fees to the same as other cards now and lots of people love getting points so we use that as a selling point.
  2. S40600 is amazing!

Not down here mate. Everything's arse about. Hot is cold, ugly is beautiful and cheap is expensive. And at the moment hot is cold.
  3. S40600 is amazing!

A large volume of air doesn't mean less concentrated fumes? Maybe in Canuckistan..
  4. S40600 is amazing!

Thank you professor. In that case they run out the big door we almost always have open.
  5. S40600 is amazing!

All our printers smell. The latex heats the plastics which give off a nasty chemical smell, the UV inks are bad and yes the 60600 smells like eco solvent ink. We have a high ceiling so the fumes don't hang round too long though. We love the Epson and use it where it's most appropriate.
  6. Need Help Am I crazy, or can this not be printed as is?

Just manage their expectations. Tell them the colours are no way going look the same as they do on an iPad, but they will look nice.
  7. 2'x17' vinyl install

If I was doing it alone I'd probably slit a strip 3" wide out of the middle of the liner to hold it in place, tape the rest. Then you can roll the liner back as you go from the centre out. Gino's plank method is a good idea.
  8. Suggestions Seal SolvoPrint™ Easy Dot leaves residue after removal

We've been using a bit of Retac lately and it seems to hold great until it's time to come off. They say it's re usable too though we haven't tried it. Tests don't leave any adhesive. https://www.drytac.com/product-category/top-brands/retac/
  9. Fuji Acuity 2545 opinion

So it's the same as Oce 350 XT? We have a 360 GT bought used. They are starting to age a bit so either be prepared to get real hands on or have a service contract. Apart from that the quality is great, they don't use too much ink but aren't the fastest flatbed around - about one board every 12...
  10. HP 360 calibration is causing colors to change?

We change our heads at 3 litres.
  11. Suggestions Derogatory Sign Request

Oh come on. So now we have to make judgements on advertising content now? I always take the stand it's the person giving me the artwork who is responsible for reactions to the sign. Print the sign and take the money.
  12. Flatbed Gradient Issues

I'd say it's a profile issue. Did you make your own? Have you tried any others?
  13. What software do you use to manage your business?

You can do that in Corebridge.
  14. What' going on? Avery MPI 1105 Supercast EZRS/ DOL 1060Z

6460 laminate has the best warranty as far as I know.
  15. Question for medium and large sign shops

Bar and pool table. For sure.
  16. Got some work in Time Magazine...

Nice work. On a side note we just had a short holiday in the US and loved the rec dispensaries in Colorado & California. So civilised.
  17. Interior Wall Mural material

Avery 2611 is easy to install and removable. A bit pricy though. If you don't mind a wet install HP PVC Free Wallpaper is another option. Also removable and cheaper than 2611.
  18. New Media Optimized for Tiling

I ran a long wallpaper job and didn't print the tiles in sequence. Colour variation was still very obvious so I put 30 metres of print in the bin and bought an Epson. Problem solved.
  19. RIP Software Suggestions

Nah you're meant to leave UAC off. You're right about any anti virus. Q: How do I change User Account Control to “Never Notify?” A: User Account Control is a security feature added to Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 and 10 which helps prevent unauthorized changes to the computer. Unfortunately, it...
  20. UV Varnish users.

Thanks guys. It would be for value adding to prints with spot gloss effect. I'll have to look into ways of minimising the dust in our environment. Worst case would be switching it back to white. Sounds like to do that it's just plugging the white in and doing a few purges.
