Onyx is great but I don't think you need a RIP with high end features for an HP 360 since it does all the profiling and media sets on the printer. Not sure why turning off UAC is such a big deal to be honest if it's on a PC that is just a rip station.
That HP paper looks the goods although we occasionally run 80g bond paper through our latex printers.
It is a bit light and 100gsm would be better for sure.
Mainly for stuff my wife sells. Our pricing would be too high for most people for what it is.
Our Oce colour guru said they tested the readings from the i1io table and found they were really inconsistent and it was a good thing I didn't buy one.
We are trading our Oce 360 GT for a 660 XT and need to decide whether to have 2x white or 1 white and 1 varnish in the 5th and 6th channels.
I've heard varnish can be problematic to lay down without getting spoiled by dust specks.
We don't have a dedicated closed off print room so it'll be tough...
Yeah done the file system check. He thought it may have been stuck halfway through an auto file system check - that's why he changed the HD.
I swapped the network cable to another socket and it seemed better for a while.
Maybe that deserves more investigation.
As the title says, one of our 360s will some days take up to an hour to wake up.
Hard rebooting does nothing.
Our dealer has checked it, they replaced the HD under warranty but still does it.
Anyone else experienced this and found a solution?
I print the advanced ink limit chart and set limits where there is no increase in density.
Sure UV printers can lay down more ink but why waste ink for no effect?
The Oce profiling guide does say to not bother.
It might be a bit hard diagnosing this on the internet.
We were getting Motion Errors on our Arizona 360 and it took techs nearly a week on site to diagnose the problem. They replaced brushes and a motor then finally a main board. A cable too I think.
Thankfully we have a service contract on the...
We have some clear mats from Yellotools and they are sticky enough to stay put.
The white Rhino mats are a little slipperier so need a bit of double sided tape around the edges.
We used Bordeaux in our Rolands, one of them from new.
Never had a problem.
Nowadays though I just use OEM.
I think original inks are now more competitively priced than they used to be.
Either that or we're just doing so much more work that ink costs don't seem to be that big a factor in total...
That used to bother me but now it's just - well that's another job done and dusted.
Rush work is the nature of digital printing.
I just tell them if we have enough time to do it when they ask for it or not.
We don't charge extra for rush jobs unless they aren't a regular client and it really...
It's the heads. The colour is accurate only right after calibration then forget about it.
Reprinting a panel? The colour probably won't match, or the length.
They are great printers but for certain jobs not the ideal solution.
