Our rule is unless we can get them off in 5 minutes, maybe 10 max, they stay on and use an inlay with knifeless tape. The customer won't care on an advertising wrap.
We got an Oce flatbed and Zund in the last 18 months and while it's a large commitment/investment it's starting to pay off now. We're now doing at least as much direct print as roll fed which gives a better margin.
The Zund is the best investment ever. Not only does it open new markets it...
I'm on 12.1 and it runs all our gear fine so there's no real need to upgrade.
This is how I've gone with onyx since v7 or whatever.
Once it's running sweet we just keep using it until we get a machine that needs the latest version.

We got an Epson 60600 and at higher pass rates it is better quality than HP latex.
Although we printed plenty of quality critical jobs on our 360s at 18 pass and they turned out quite acceptable.
We have trouble with our 360s and Onyx too.
Sometimes when one is printing you can't get a job to start on the other one.
Restarting the RIP works but is not real convenient at times.
I gave up on the media sync and turned it off.
