  1. ROLAND ECO-SOLVENT vs. HP LATEX - My personal experience owning both.

PhotoTex should `not be much of an issue for tiled wall panels but vinyl would. Too much heat for vinyls to stay stable. 6mil would need to be used for sure. As for JetFlex I wouldn’t touch it with Latex. Like most of Ultraflex’s banner material the plasticizers come to surface and will cause...
  2. Banding on HP 360 Pls Help

Are you using CMYKcm or CMYK? If CMYKcm does the job call for high light ink usage? If CMYKcm have you tried slowing down the printer by raising the Inter-Pass Delay or going to more passes?
  3. Banding on HP 360 Pls Help

  6. Need Help Vaccum not on during calibration on 360 and 560?

I was doing a calibration on a media preset with high vacuum and yes the new firmware is now using the preset vacuum settings when it does a calibration. And yes it does vary between passes at least when it is reading the targets.
  7. LogoJet UV2400 24" x 36" Flatbed printer

  8. Automark 230 vinyl with HP Latex Printer

GF went to all the trouble to make profiles for 3 generations of latex printer so surly it must be latex comparable. General Formulations - 230 - Gloss White Wrap Vinyl
  9. Need Help Oily residue/bands on vinyl banner / HP L360

I am most familiar with Colorgate but as I remember Flexi has a replace color tab. Should have a eyedropper to click on the color you want to replace. Also if you build your file with the black at 100%K only you should have a Pure Primaries (I think that is what Flexi calls it) setting. Not...
  10. Need Help Oily residue/bands on vinyl banner / HP L360

It is not in the profile. It is a RIP setting that by-passes CM for a specific color and sends what ever color values you want instead to the printer. What RIP?
  11. Need Help Oily residue/bands on vinyl banner / HP L360

Hint, hint! And he got it.
  12. Color Matching

And those CMYK values are based on what source profile? Took us years to get LAB values in Adobe libraries. So I guessing your back to guessing the source profile of these values. I guess it will get you somewhat close.
  13. Color Matching

Or read the sample with your spectro and make a custom spot with that value.
  14. Need Help Oily residue/bands on vinyl banner / HP L360

I would assume if he is printing black he would use only 100% device black. Why use anything else unless you want a muddy black look. Probably just needs to find the right combination of passes and heat, which should have been figured out and set in the media preset before making an output profile.
  15. Third Issue With Our L560

Are you sure the bar that is under it is seated properly. I found issues with those on the first generation Latex maintenance cartridges.
  16. Latex Print vs UV Print

I suppose there are different qualities of UV ink but we once had a Gerber Solara and there is no way that ink lasted (before fading) as long as Latex ink on vinyl, laminated and applied to substrate. All though don't expect the economy vinyls to last long either.
  17. Third Issue With Our L560

You seem to have had many issues, so which one is it this time?
  18. Onyx vs flexi for hp latex

I agree I have tried most of the RIPs over the years and my favorite is Colorgate, especially for control of color. With it's Color Atlas, setting up device color for the best Pantone Spot reproduction is very simple.
  19. Third Issue With Our L560

It doesn't but it overcomes all other cause short of media dot gain or lack there of.
