  1. Need Help Xc540 horrible test prints

There is a part called wiper scraper, that may be missing. But, that's not your biggest problem. The black head seems to have a electrical defect. Yellow is missing completely and LC/LM as well. Check the 3 fuses on the head board. Look at the flat cables going to the heads. Cross switch cables...
  2. Roland- True Vis sg2-300 Printing Issues - HELP

Bad crash, left head needs replacement, if you want good quality prints. I don't think, adjustment will help....
  3. Cut Contour issue with PDF.

What Versaworks version are we talking? If it's 5.51 or lower, it's a known issue and you have to live with it.
  4. Roland TrueVis VGII-640 and TR2 Inks

Maybe you should clean the feed encoder disk.
  5. Anybody use Mac?

I always wonder, how people in the graphic industry spend their money... The spend fortunes on Apple hardware to emulate/VM old Windows software. I've been in the business long enough to see all the changes in CPU (68000, PowerPC, Intel and now M1), requiring all software to be replaced, in...
  6. Summa f1612 electrical question

Hi, go to the Summa website and look for the site preparation PDF. I never installed a F on single phase here in Europe, but I know it's possible. The only 3 phase part is the vacuum pump motor. In the single phase version, it's a single phase motor with capacitor. Maybe it's cheaper to replace...
  7. New Truvis VG print colors

Since there is no hint, what Rip is being used, I assume it's Versaworks. Depending on what setting you used to print before, it should be possible to simulate the setting with a now wider gamut.
  8. Roland- True Vis sg2-300 Printing Issues - HELP

Most likely the result of a crash. One head is shifted mechanically. You can try to loosen the two screws securing the heads and push them to the right and back. (They should go back to this position by themselves, by a sort of plastic springs)
  9. VersaCAMM SP 300i replacing PrintHead

Change dampers quickly. The ink will flow back in the tubing, as soon as the old damper is dismounted. Mount the new damper and pull ink through it with a syringe, until no bubbles come through the in port. As soon as the filter in the damper is wet with ink, the flowback stops. No need for pump...
  10. VersaCAMM SP 300i replacing PrintHead

I never use the change head function on this model. I just replace the head and dampers, enter the head rank, reset the heads counters. Then I do 1-2 medium cleanings until the test print is perfect. Then I do the adjustments.
  11. Summa Opus dot distance

As far as I know, the marks are to be set at a constant distance in feed direction. The Plugin places them every 400mm or so.
  12. help deciding on a new purchase. latex or eco solvent. My breakdown on Roland BN20a vs HP115 latex is hopefully at least informative

You don't need to print daily on a BN-20, as long as you don't use it with white or metallic. With cmykm MAX or Max2 ink, you can leave it unattended for weeks, as long as there is ink in the cartridges.
  13. Roland Versacamm VS-300 Waste Ink not draining

    Look at the commented image.
  14. Roland Versacamm VS-300 Waste Ink not draining

Your discharge tube is likely blocked! Often the tube gets pinched by the waste bottle. Check that. The cap of the pump outlet has popped off. I have seen it a couple of times. You either need to find the cap in this mess, or close the open pump port with a closed short piece of tubing. (I close...
  15. First time doing a head replacement

Nice video My guess for the nozzle plate material is some sort of beryllium copper alloy. And then some coating... Roland introduced a DX4 head with a new type of coating for the LEF UV printers lately. The corrosion around the nozzle holes should make it clear, that no extended soaking will...
  16. Summa Cut barcode server help.

Good solution to circumvent the barcode.
  17. Summa Length Issues

Are the OPOS marks read, before cutting? Have you done the length correction?
  18. Summa Cut barcode server help.

You could try to rerip and edit the cutfiles. (Remove the barcode part)
  19. Need Help Summa D160R - cut drifts off over long cuts

There is some media, that just can't take the curing heat from a Latex. It skews the medium and tracking isn't possible. (Had it lately on a brand new Latex800 S-Class2 combo. We even waited overnight for the medium to settle, but it only helped to a small extent) Using another vinyl solved it...
  20. Washed out colors with illuminated lightboxes

With those printers you can do CMYK-W-CMYK for backlit day and night use or even CMYK-W-K-W-CMYK for window application (the middle k layer is a light barrier that even allows different images front and rear)
