I think the handwriting is on the wall for some of this software that has nowhere to go. So to keep the revenue stream coming in, it's on to neverending monthly payments, which, unfortunately, our society wholeheartedly accepts as an acceptable norm.
As for hitting the end of the line for...
Yeah Gino tried to push me around in a private message. He also tried to push me around in the forum. It seemed like it got better for awhile, but he was always with the passive aggressive insults. Place will probably be much better without that 'tude here.
I am a member of the Mach3 forum for that CNC controller software and it is absolutely nowhere near what it's like here at times. Not even close.
So as I said before you gotta sort through the trash comments and just deal with the good guys and life is fine.
Pretty sure people come to this forum to try to learn things, not be degraded for being "stupid" or whatever.
I had a similar experience when I first came to this forum. There are people who will help you, then there are bitter people who will do nothing but waste your time telling you how...
"Like with anything, the original purchase is often the cheapest part of it."
I think it depends on the machine. With this printer, possibly. With my CNC's, no way. With my lasers, no way.
Hey man I hear you on all this stuff. I maintain ALL my equipment. We are primarily a CNC shop but got into UV printing a few years ago. There seems to be some sort of unspoken rule out there that you have to pay more $$$ for parts and have them installed rather than doing it yourself. That...
It's the same everywhere...when people are in charge of big budgets of money that they didn't have to earn have little clue on what responsible spending is. That is the defining difference between government and the private business sector. In our world, our livelihood is at stake, so...
I think it would be a shame to cover up the architectural element up there. Can't do a sign down in the flower beds? I think looking for the correct door from a car you would want a sign at ground level rather than up in the rafters.
It depends on what's most important to you. To me, I want to make a good wage working no more than 40 hrs a week. I did not start a business to work 60-80 hrs a week, and if that's what it took to get to $5mil then I would be out. If I can get there at 40 hrs a week with minimal headache...
ULINE is the same way...they answer within two rings...real human, they know who you are.
At 42 years old customer service is more important than low price, for the most part.
We use Kremlin pumps and guns. Size your air compressor correctly and get the moisture filter units and you'll be fine.
Of course it depends on how many signs you're talking about and whether you paint on location or always at the shop.
Trying to manipulate the pricing through their demeanor...seems like that attitude is becoming more prevalent. "I'm here and breathing, you should give me a better price." Sounds a lot like my former high school students: "I'm here and breathing, why didn't you give me an A?"
Kinda like a...
