  1. Distressed effect in Corel?

    ...I only have Corel.
  2. Distressed effect in Corel?

Joe, it worked like a champ. I somehow even made it less complicated than your version. Yay! Now hopefully they will approve it, I'm ready to move on. :thankyou::signs101::thankyou: (this is their drawing not mine)
  3. Kohl's Does What?

    :Big Laugh
  4. Distressed effect in Corel?

Yay! Thank you SO much. Even I can understand this. :loveya:
  5. "One of those" Customers.

They're all pretty ugly. The last one is the least ugly. Corny biz name, goofy trees, meh tagline, too much copy too many fonts. Make it, never admit to making it, never put it in your portfolio, and never design for free again. I still get customers like this even after 28 years, but I'm...
  6. New signs from Piccadilly

Really like the sweet shop sign. :) Love....jill
  7. Distressed effect in Corel?

I know in Illustrator you can add a distressed or eroded filter to something to age it up. I am doing a logo in Corel for someone who wants a "shabby chic" woodgrain type look. :rock-n-roll::banghead: and it has to be vector, not a photo. Is there any way I can distress my design in Corel...
  8. Font ID please

    Try Compacta.
  9. Didn't win the Powerball but....

I could tell which ones were yours. Love....Jill

Thanks fellas. Gonna try Albertus. I know it's not Gill (I like Gill)
  11. Paint question for Dibond

You'll definitely need to scuff the surface lightly with a Scotchbrite pad. To be honest, Rustoleum would not be a bad choice. I have a sign out there from 1980, painted with Rustoleum because I was a clueless twat, and it still looks OK. Latex is going to fade and in my opinion is not as...
  12. Poor Quality but need an ID please.

I know I know this font, it's one I've always hated. Just can't pin it down and the image is too crappy to trace. :thankyou::signs101: Love....Jill
  13. Outdoor paint that vinyl will stick to? or just wrap it?

Can you flip it over and use the back side? I would charge $50 an hour to remove the old stuff. I would NOT use latex paint. (always run into non-adhering issues when trying to apply vynull) Try Ronan's Speednamel or sell him a big print. Love....Jill
  14. Recent Work

Thanks for the kind words. The mural is not my design (well I did tweak their logo) I just paid my bills for this month and have enough left over to pay next month's bills! That's a first in about 4 years. It would have taken me 4 months work at the "real" job to make what I just made in two...
  15. Corn dogs.....funnel cakes!

Unusual colors but still looks good. Really like the modern yet retro feel. Only crit I have is the s in fresh...does that font have an alternate s that looks more handwritten? Can't wait for Kennywood and the Butler Farm Show this year! Love....Jill
  16. What do you see?

Definitely the Edgar Allan Poe dude. (Also looks like something hitting the high wires with a boom?) Love....Jill
  17. Blackletter Font ID ... anyone?

I dunno but that V looks backwards to me. Love....Jill
  18. Deposit, deposit....

I feel your pain. Lately I have been having great luck with deposits via PayPal. Usually they just pay in advance! It works well for me, without the bother of dealing with a credit card machine.. Love....Jill
  19. Weekend Work

...and he also found time to embroider two totally kick-*** pillow cases for me. Had a client who loved their logo so much she wanted one for over her bed...I thought the pillowcases would be a fun gift and he nailed it. Thanks Evan! Love....Jill
