  1. Think of it this way....

Good to read that everyone is on the mend Tex. Scary times.
  2. Covid silver bullet? BS?

Andy, your nozzle check looks pretty bad - you're gonna need a new head.
  3. Covid silver bullet? BS?

I'm missing out on all the fun. I don't have a Twitter or Facebook account. I have to use my wife's Facebook log-in just so I can post snarky comments on Twitchy and the Gatway Pundit.
  4. Dumb rant

Been there done that. On the Mutoh the sound of the hard stop, alarm going off & the core trying to bang its way onto the platen is surprisingly loud and scary when it is the only printer you have.
  5. recovering deleted files

I don't use Flexi to cut the contours but I do use it to do the rip and print. When your files are gone from the Hold or Achive lists in the PM the original work files should be still on the PC. Mine are AI eps & pdf files. Cut paths are on a separate layer in AI. You should be able to look up...
  6. Covid silver bullet? BS?

Red flags from the start on that video. With the production quality and set-up it has a real 'adult entertainment' video vibe. Starts out with half a dozen guys standing behind a single female that is playing with her hair. All of them are sporting matching lab coats, creased up - looking like...
  7. Covid silver bullet? BS?

Not to worry on this count The President has already said that it would be tested on Canadians first and if it does not trigger the zombie apocalypse we'll get it. And of course, Mexico will pay for it........
  8. Think of it this way....

I think some in Hong Kong may agree with the President.
  9. Exterior LED lights, do they need to be "inclosed"?

Check the strip joints and see what they use. They always have LED stage lighting and there is a ton of moisture flying around in there (or so I have been told).
  10. Cast or Calendared?

Ping Bigfish and see what laminate he has to offer.
  11. Think of it this way....

Math at 1 am on a sign forum? Things are far worse than I thought.
  12. Think of it this way....

  13. Think of it this way....

Yep, if you are coughing up luminous green vapor you definitely need to get checked.
  14. Think of it this way....

It is all relative to the situation you are in. Having survived the virus in Wuhan, masking up and washing your hands might be way down on the priorities list as you are downstream from the 3G dam that appears to be moving closer to your village.
  15. Completely washed out backlit panels

Open the cabinet and see if there is space to install a diffuser panel in front of the LEDs to bring them down a little. If you can't do that add a layer of 3M 7725 or 7125 white vinyl on the back of the prints. The glue is clear and will pass light but will dim the LEDs a good more than trans...
  16. Print/Cut solutions Mutoh Mimaki or Roland

I like my Mutoh, I would probably like a Mimaki or Roland as well. Good support is key. If that is not available a monthly sacrifice to the print gods is in order. Whatever brand you end up going with - learn the maintenance schedule and stick with it.
  17. What would you have quoted for this boat vinyl + install?

That looks like a fairly nice looking boat, $200 seems more than reasonable. Send him to the DIY section of Home Depot, they have some nice reflective aluminum backed mailbox letters for only $4.50 a set that should suit him.
  18. Adding dimension to dimensional letters in proof - Program or technique?

File upload is acting wonky This is the moi sample
  19. Adding dimension to dimensional letters in proof - Program or technique?

If you are not afraid to try new things you can do this with a 3d program without too much drama. You can export out your paths - 3d them and then get editable paths back into Coreldraw to do your final drawings. You can maintain scale jumping back and forth so you can use the dimension tool in...
