  1. Need Help I suck at Photoshop...please help me

This looks like a prime thread for the former Sign Shop Mentor to step in on.
  2. Discussion opening page

Could be a Russian or Chinese virus, depending on which news service you get your news from.
  3. Pole Banner Finishing

With some practice and a sharp edged putty knife (think setting bondo or drywall putty) you can lay down a smooth even layer of 66 were you want it. We use a wood glue dripless squeeze bottle to drop the glue for spreading. Have not had much luck with tape in this heat and wind but it could be...
  4. Suggestions how do I remove old cracked vinyl wrap

Think you are right about the paint being toast under that. Vinyl is too far gone to come off with a heat gun or torch. Might try a steamer if you have one or can get a rental. Second option would be chemical. Vinyl off will turn the material and adhesive into snot that can be scraped off with...
  5. Pole Banner Finishing

We use HH66 to lay everything out and add a stitch on the pole pocket seams.
  6. Rant Customer wants to see $1M proof of insurance for $48 banner

Calling should be easier now with your new lift, you should get excellent cell reception anywhere 41 feet up in the air.
  7. Rant Customer wants to see $1M proof of insurance for $48 banner

My first thought is - how did someone with a $48.00 bill get terms? My second thought - it's $48.........
  8. Is your bucket truck really broken.........?

Looks like you are all set. Now all you need is a Mercedes to tow it around.
  9. Is your bucket truck really broken.........?

That's a circuit breaker. We install the same thing (150 amp) when we do liftgates on trucks & vans. It keeps the cable from the battery to the lift from burning when a short or ground hits. 10 years ago we installed one in a van and at that time the kit didn't come with a breaker. Van came back...
  10. How to do this?

Removal looks like it is going to be tuff without damaging the paint. Try some heat on the pointed end of the stripe and see if it will come up in pieces larger than fingernail clippings. A steamer or some vinyl-off might help if the heat won't do the trick. May end up costing more for the...
  11. Is your bucket truck really broken.........?

Looks really good. Will be interested to hear what you think of the speed of the hydraulics after you get it broken in.
  12. Alternative to 3M IJ35C?

Even after their sales pitch, it is still a good idea >>>> 1.Do the real surface waterproof 2. Air oxidation, delay 3.The film covering the stain resistance, surface cleaning 4. Prevent the printing surface scratch 5. Improve the printing or photo texture, grade 6. To increase hardness...
  13. Cutter registration marks on clear material

Depending on what hardware and software you are using you could try reverse registration marks. This prints a black square leaving the 'mark' the color of the material. It's an option with Flexi and Cutting Master 4 on Graphtec plotters. Might help.
  14. Will artists/painters be obsolete in the near future?

This obsolescence is a little more worrying: https://www.defenseone.com/technology/2020/08/ai-just-beat-human-f-16-pilot-dogfight-again/167872/ #JustSayNoToSkynet
  15. Suggestions Not quite sure of the answer..............

I think acid wash would help - not sure it would remove all of the shadows - depends on how much the exposed shell has weathered. Around here the tankers are parked down at the port/fuel yards - they are within spitting distance of the ocean. Lots of corrosion. The maintenance guys use the wash...

  18. New Zealand

They don't use bucks down there. They have metric money called New Zealand dollar(s).
  19. Anyone ever see this?

Looks like run of the mill corrosion. We see a good deal of it here on trucks that are not wrapped. Even the stainless trim corrodes down here at sea level. Unwrapped hardware on the truck looks like it is well used. It is pretty hard to cut through the powder coat/baked finish during install...
  20. Post holes with a drill...

C'mon Gino, as long as he is not wearing Uggs or Crocs he could be out there in just a DeWalt branded jockstrap and still be good to go.
