If it's anything like the 360 as far as loading unloading media, I hate it. pia imo. At least compared to Mimaki. As demonstrated here p.s HP has since adopted a different approach that looks promising.

Whole window. We've also done the same double-strike print on clear that's full color for existing backlit white acrylic sign faces. One strike print will be too light when backlit. Haven't had the need for any seems just yet. All one piece.

Ditch ai and use coreldraw. No scaling necessary. No need for an artboard and either.

Not sure if it's relevant but we've printed black to clear/translucent to make a tint for windows. If the black comes out too light we'll do a "double strike" print for a deeper tint.

Speed of printing is irrelevant imo. We use two seperate units. The print technician can gang print many different jobs on one media then turn it over to somebody else to plot or hand cut meanwhile he/she can change out the media and continue printing other jobs. Much better workflow. If you're...

As suggested above, on short runs of decals that won't require any pre-mask we make two cuts. Do the die cut first then cut an outer 1/8" or so "Punch Cut/ Half Cut". Then just weed out that 1/8". Decals come out much cleaner i.e. no torn corners and such. MAkes for an easy peel and stick for...
