I had about a 10' x 15' textured interior wall application to do. My arms were aching by the end. And that wasn't nearly so difficult as brick & mortar.

I've used the Oraguard 270 clear PPF, but only on flat surfaces. It goes on ok, but has to be a wet install if you want to avoid a cloudy texture underneath. Can't say much about wear and tear as I've never seen the product after install.

If you're going to use PPF, then it really should go OVER the graphics, IMO. Every PPF that I've seen is calendered and would need to be replaced with the graphics anyway. It's not like the PPF would benefit the car when removing the cast vinyl wrap.

I doubt it would be much better. Most rough surfaces I've seen overlaid with vinyl are larger bumps. I've been applying vinyl to powdercoated MDF desktops and it's hit and miss on those some days, and even then you have a sand-like texture. Sometimes the tops we get just don't have enough space...

Definitely agree here. I've had what I thought would be easy removals turn into nightmares because someone used some cheap no-name-china-brand vinyl. And it's a bit of a selling point to say "I think it will take # hours which will cost $X. But if I get it done faster, you'll save money." Sure...

It looks like a font that was rasterized and then converted to outlines. Makes sense why you couldn't find a match.

I'd add that it's also a matter of observational skill (what's the vinyl doing) and muscle memory (I've done this motion so many times I can practically do it in my sleep). And patience. I don't know how many people I've seen screw up laying down a plain rectangle because they had no patience...
