  1. Monument Sign/ Cabinet Sign Engineer drawing

Depends on the complexity of the job. Generally they get a drawing with measurements and callouts. Then they gat a drawing on how I would like the monument to be installed. This sign had a lot going on so I split up the measurements and the specifications. From the 3 drawings, I got...
  2. Joining Dibond

Are you building a frame and attaching Dibond to it? If you are building a frame, what are you building it with? Personally, I would build an aluminum frame with maybe 2" square tubing or angle, then plug weld and Lords adhesive aluminum to it - paint.
  3. push through acrylic face question

Are the letters white? or will have a transparent film. There are a few ways, but I prefer routing out the letters as this holds up better than gluing individual letters. If you have clear or trans white letters and use a clear backer, you SHOULD use a trans white film behind it to...

  8. Will it ever fade? (c)

That conversation (if you even wanted the job) could have gone differently. You ask... What's it for? How long do you want/need it to last? Where is it going? Then give them the options, along with the costs and turn-around time and how long they are guaranteed. You may use an...

  11. Shop logo attempt

It's very rare they take advice, I've designed 100's of logos here to show how to readjust the way people should design. I kinda want them to design their own. I want them to learn the process. A recent post where someone posted their logo attempts here, then either ignored the info...
  12. Need advice on install

I hate seeing attachments. Does it have to be flush? Pre-drill tubing and angle for self-tapping screws. Mechanically fasten square tubing to the wall. Then I would VHB/Lords Adhesive angles to the back of sign that allow the angles to slide into place over the square tubing...
  13. I need some one with a 12 foot press brake

I'm a little confused too, is it a true "C" channel or "boxed" channel, or a "U" or "J" Depending on the size you need bent, we used to Lords/plug weld stock "J" or "U" extrusion to sheets larger that what we couldn't bend on our brake.

  16. FlexiSign Question...

So what you are trying to figure out is perimeter of a letter to estimate the length of material for your returns? I can't remember if Flexi does it but I'm pretty sure it did... but I know CadTools for Illustrator does and somewhere there is a Macro for Corel

  18. Logo…thoughts please!

Not the answer but exploring and researching various ideas... Looking at examples, I toned down the shadow, allowing the logo to stand alone and give it the option to add effects and attempting to make it iconic and memorable.
  19. Logo…thoughts please!
