I used the same profile I always use with no problems. Glossy Calendered Vinyl. The stickers were great until 3 months after they were outdoors. Just the yellow dissappeared. It's weird.

THANK YOU!!! Finally someone who is adressing the ISSUE of the YELLOW INK dissappearing after 3 months and none others! These didn't need to last for years...but the ink should not have faded...THAT'S why I didn't laminate them.

Get the alignment correct. Then have printer heater at 110 and dryer heater at 120 for regular vinyl materials. Make sure you've downloaded the latest Veras works downloads and try using the new (RIPC) profiles. That may help with ANY banding.

I don't keep track of what ink batches I use. I throw away my cartridges. It was months ago. I DID send them the good and bad samples.

What size laminator??? Spend the little extra for a Royal Sovereign. It's great but not as much as a SEAL. The enduralam is a Chinese reverse engineered SEAL. If you settle for the Daige laminator...you'll be investing in a better laminator down the road anyway...so skip that headache. The daige...

What would You guys do? What should Roland do? How would YOU handle this if it happened to you?

I understand sun can beat it up...but only 3 months...and ONLY yellow. Not faded...vanished completely from the entire print. 3 months vs. 3 year. Come on...if it were even a year I would probably say it's plausible.

Roland says it's a 3 year outdoor ink without laminate before it fades. If that's not the case then either they need to say that...or cover my expenses for a faulty product. At least in an honest and respectful world.

I printed 10,000 business card sized decals using Rolands eco-sol Ink on my vp540. They had blue, red, yellow, black, green and white in the design. Printed on Orajet, not laminated and placed on top of trash cans throughout neighborhoods. This is a 3 year outdoor ink without laminate...

Let's put it this way...if you Ever print anything longer than 4 feet OR Want to make money while you eat, sleep, work on other stuff,etc then I HIGHLY recommend a take up spool. I use mine EVERY SINGLE DAY.

HAHAHAHA that's clearly not the same output file. Look at the different spots I highlighted on the "print samples". The differences are not "Print" differences, they are "File" differences. :Oops:

I have that same printer from SSK. I was given the task of either selling it as is or refurbishing it & keeping half the profits either way. It's been sitting for about 2 years now...and i'm sure it need the lines flushed and both heads replaced. Interested? jk
