I have already done that using black vinyl and it is all OK and performed as it should.
When you perform the EPOS alignment test plot it is out of alignment by 0.5-1mm on the original print.
Is their further adjustments on EPOS alignment test plot that allows you to adjust it so both the...
We have a Mutoh SC 1400D plotter.
When contour cutting small labels you can see that it is out by 0.5-1mm on the contour cut.
In the manual you can do three tests an automatic a manual and a EPOS alignment test plot.
Now when doing the automatic and manual test everything is OK but when doing...
You have asked the million dollar question that has/has not ever been answered.
Way too many variables to answer this question.
Do you have a good test print (good place to start) if any nozzles are blocked you will never get a good print.
I run a Valuejet 1604 so can maybe help.

Surely a machine needing a printhead shouldn't be scrapped?
I would expect one of these machines to last longer than 5 years.
It probably has had light use if this is on its first head.
I now look on the print head as the tyres of the printer. And like tyres printheads wear.
But you wouldn't...
Earlier in the year our 1604 did exactly what yours has done.
I replaced the head fuse which is a mission in itself as the fuse is so small.
But on replacing it the magenta channel was flooding the print.
The big problem is and luckily not in our case is that when the head fuse goes it might...
Paper is a pain to print on a solvent printer.
I have tried a couple of different brands all with similar results as you are getting.
I would give the job to someone with a water based printer.

After disconnecting the lines on the pump on my JV3-160S I have got confused to as what lines go where! I understand one of the pumps is not used on this machine as it only has 3 heads.
Does anyone have a drawing or a schematic as to where the lines go to?
Cheers

The reason for using everlasting chips is:-
You can run a bulk ink system using third party inks (making running a lot cheaper).
The ink never goes out of date (at least the machine doesn't realize this!)

Fire the customer.... Today!
I agree meet face to face the look on their face will be well worth losing the job.
The amount of times this or a similar situation has happened to me and I wished afterwards I had walked away.
Most customers I find now that either want the cheaper option or try to...

I just tried to order some chips and some cables the cost came to $52.
But the delivery came to $158.94!!!!
Either something is wrong with how you quote delivery or you are hand delivering the items personally to the UK!
Would love to purchase but the delivery cost is way to high...
Is their anyone or anywhere selling standard chips for the JV3.
I do not want to upgrade to everlasting ones until I get the machine up and running.
Thanks

I am looking for some dx4 print heads for my JV3-160s which I am trying to get up and running.
The machine has been left unused for a lot longer than the seller said and the heads are blocked solid (not even one nozzle out of the 6 channels fire!) also after loads of cleaning they will not work...
Has anyone got any DX4 print heads dead or alive.
I am looking for some to install on my new printer to check everything is working.
This is a backup printer which hopefully will help me in a new direction
PM me or mail me
I can pay the postage to the UK.
Thanks

Well had a little play about today.
Turns out all the ink is out of date by at least 4 months so that will not be helping!
I am going to remove the battery and reset the clock to get them running.
I am having a software issue also.
We are currently running Signlab 9.1 and I would like to use...
My sub tank valves stick on my VJ1604 but never when it is printing.
It could maybe be a pump problem or more lightly a leak in the the pipework from the cartridge to the head or even more lightly a failed or leaking damper.
