Cap I would change the cap top out first. Make sure your pump is pulling down ink in both tubes

Epson Epson is starting off the series with a 4 color and will have an 8 and a 10 color out in the next few months.

Encoder I do not think it is the encoder if the issue is color. What do your test prints look like. The encoder tells the print head where it is on the rail.

capping station sounds like the capping station may not be draining and the ink is mixing in the cap. Did they change the pump?
