Switch Are you working with the dip switches on the main board? If you change out the pumps you need to change the speed of the pump motors, this should be in the pump upgrade proceedures.

Cap top Follow the black tube from the cap top to where it connects to the pump, put the syringe on there and try to pull down. You may want to roll that black tube around with your fingers and loosen things up as the syringe won't pull out a bad blockage.

1604 I have set up a lot of those printers and they do not like material that has lots of moisture in it. I believe that the way the pinch rollers are set up on that printer causes some media to wrinkle and strike the heads. Change media

Firmware Make sure you have the latest firmware, they did some fixes earlier this year.

Belt Only seen that once on a 1604. I recall I taped the new belt to the old one to assist in feeding it back around the printer. It would be better if you had some help as you don't want to put any bends on the new belt.
