Just got a graphtec FC7000-160 back in on a trade. It boots fine but goes immediately into a crosscut mode when media is load? I know this must be a setting somewhere, anyone got any ideas?
Thanks!
Ryan
I would guess the problem is capping station related. Do you have any nozzles firing on the test pattern?
As far as the capping station goes, they are fairly touchy on a ValueJet. I have seen stations that look brand new that will not seal. How old is the the capping station?
You can do this only if the card on the old cartridge has not hit the ink end. The cards do no good once they "read" empty. The printer will know there is a cartridge there but will think it is empty.
Very nice product, higher initial tack than other wrap products. There will be a V2 shown at ISA which will be called 6000xR (repositionable), should be even better than 6000x.
Most of the printers I have seen in the field have lost those "sponges". Unless you have collected fibers in that area between the bumper and the head I doubt that is causing the problems. Post a picture of the problem.
For anyone reading this, the problem was a bad head board. Swapped a new one in and we are up and running.
Anyone have a service manual for an SC 545EX? I need to align the heads!
Thanks,
Ryan
