I haven't really noticed a difference with the higher optimizer, one reason we have it a little high is the lack of humidity up here. it's so dry that the ink can tend to migrate due to static. We ran a few test and found for us it's kind of a sweet spot for our temperature/environmental changes.
I'm pretty sure(99.999%) on the HP latex 500 series the number of passes does not determine the amount of ink that gets layed down. The amount of ink is determined by the ink density.
I don't think that it's just the heat setting, but also the number of passes, ink density, optimizer levels...
A lot of the plotters and printer will come with software. You can also download trial version of others to see if you like it. Many have switched to the subscription model to the cost of entry is much lower now. For $50 a month you can have access to all of Adobe's programs which is pretty...
The new hood would probably be cheaper agreed. But if the customer was didn't want to do that than it's an hourly rate. Start of removing as much with heat and remover as you can. Than hit it with the wheel. For something like that we would probably end up charging over $1000.
So increase in passes which in turn increases in the dwell time for the heaters makes the problem worse?
What about lowering heat with number of passes, while this might take some trial and error should it not help?
For 3mIJ180 CV3 here are my setting. (not sure if it matters but I'm at sea...
E-Bay and Google aren't your competitors and the multi color is not being use with a 'goofy kindergarten font'. The font for google/ebay are standard fonts that have been slightly tweaked (also I don't like either one of their logo's either). Again Toys R Us is marketing straight to children...
Ok so if your looking for honest feed back...
aside from the work 'dooky'
One of the first things that you will need to do if you want to have a diverse logo for everything you want to do is ditch the clip art and go straight vector. This will be a more versatile format.
As for all logo's...
Either make them yourself or buy them. I always made them myself and found that it was generally easier than dealing with most of the people who were selling them. This way you could make templates for everything.
So, here are the issues that I see off the top of my head.
First it's too big for that door. Maybe look at reducing the size about 50%
It looks like you have three or four different fonts. Try to limit it to 1 main font and a similar one for the phone number.
For lawn care I wold agree that...
No in the plotters that do this you have to change the blade to a different part of the holder and it cuts it out over a gully so it never comes into contact with anything on the other side of the material. Graphtec has some videos for this process.
I think you need to think more about what it would cost to replace him if needed and how much it's worth to keep him. A Jack of All Trades is a difficult type person to find and keep happy. What are you paying him now? Has he asked for a raise? Have you thought maybe about a base salary and...
In Int he production manager go to the contour tab and there is a section that lets you choose which registration marks you want to use. Under that is an option that will let you use one set for all copies.
Double check you math cause I just worked it on the actual template and with Vertical panels about 75 ft of material (337.5sqft) with horizontal panels about 87 ft of material (391.5 sqft) so while it might take a little more material the I think the time you would save would be more valuable.
I don't think so. But if there is a difference I don't think it would matter enough, I also think that the horizontal panels would bean less time lining up panels which mean less time spent working and more profit.... which brings up another point how much time did you estimate to wrap this...
