The flat finish is your problem, insist on the wall being repainted with a semi-gloss or gloss paint. even a cast vinyl with permanent adhesive will fail on a flat latex wall. secondly, for text I would use oracal 631 and die cut it.

I don't think there would be a problem reusing what you made, 10mm coro is pretty durable, have them fold them back flat and stack them when they don't need them. i think what you made actually looks a lot better than the usual metal frame signs, are the feet something you made or did you buy them?
