We had 2 HP's before we added the OKI and being able to print/lam immediately was a major concern. A week after we fired up the OKI that went away, I don't miss our latex at all.
I have a M-64 and I love it. We were not planning on purchasing an OKI however after we saw the machine and spoke to the reps we were sold!! The only complaint I have is I can't find a good paper profile.
Find out what the local code is, don't just guess and think it will be OK. If you install it incorrectly and there is an accident you take a percentage of fault.
Research. If you want to start with new customers just 20 miles away, hop in your car and go pay them a visit, introduce yourself, leave some samples. Then follow up.

Our 26500 has had that up for close to 2 years now. It still prints like a champ, however it's not worth the price to have serviced any more, so we will run it until it finally gives up.
How close are they to your location, what do they offer that you don't.........we always laugh when a "new" guy comes to town because they always end up in a race to the bottom and gone within 2 years.
Pay per use plan is new to me, we just bought ours outright. I would buy and just nest away some $$ for a just in case moment, instead of giving your money away. We are on machine #2 and heads not covered isn't a big deal.
It is just sad we have to do this to keep people honest. We had a installer who would go to the install then go shopping, go home for a break, pick up the kids, then come back to the shop.
