  1. Nozzles are clogging but tech said there's no need to replace cap top

I believe if you print with only one line and have other lines clamped you will burn the head. As the risk when sucking via syringe, i think there is not any risk as i have not heard of someone ruining the head that way. Its other matter if you push. Then probably you will ruin it. Probably...
  2. Nozzles are clogging but tech said there's no need to replace cap top

When all inks are on 1 head only and there is 1 ink cap its pretty simple math. Obviously pump sucks and ink flows. Magenta does not flow so well as other inks compensate. The other inks flow more easily than said magenta. So its not a cap or sealing problem. Its a head, damper, ink lines or...
  3. Need Help: Roland VG head soak

Just with the syringe i return each ink back again, so no loss. I will check for that tool you are saying. Thanks!
  4. Roland Eco-Sol Max Ink

it sounds like you have problem with the part that contacts the chip, the chip reader, not the cartridge. they are serviceable parts though difficult to change. search for a video for your printer or call a specialist
  5. Need Help: Roland VG head soak

Head soak? Nope. Who told you that this is the next step?? I don't know this printer but you need to find where hose from the cap of that color enters the pump. Take away the hose, arm yourself with syringe of 50cc and such that ink from there. Head will clean. And check your cap anyway. if...
  6. Would you accept this job? Is it even possible??

Tell them the ridiculous price it would cost them and then tell them the proper options. Which is paint it or cover it with banner if they want cheap. or as others suggested flat panels.
  7. Rant Any way to make versaworks Work faster on a good laptop?

You miss what i am saying. The Versaworks does not use all the power of the PC, if any , that's what i am saying. When i run Photoshop or Premiere, all is 100% even 24gb memory is almost all used. My primary drive is M.2 SSD and have a second also. 24gb memory and yeah, not the latest processor...
  8. We don’t laminate our signs. Thoughts?

I know a fellow in town that does not laminate a thing, even car wraps. Latex printer. I also started not to laminate a thing from 2 months, as i bought a Roland. Before was outsourcing and i still don't have a laminator. Though i have bought a liquid for lamination of outside signs. But...

  10. Rant Any way to make versaworks Work faster on a good laptop?

I use 5.5.1 as this is the latest that supports the Soljet III XC-540. My Pc is not overclocked, just is top notch gaming laptop. No antivirus and stuff. Runs perfectly fine Premiere and Photoshop at top load. When using QImage to print on other printers its has superfast rendering...

  12. Very frustrated with cutting. hp 315

There is an issue. You should use your brain to figure what's happening exactly. Check cutter carriage for play, check belt for slip, tightness, check if belt pulley is not slipping. Probably you have a simple mechanical issue or encoder error or sth.. As a cnc guy i can isolate your problem for...
  13. mixing a homebrew cleaning solution?

Thanks for the info. Already a week i use 50/50 ratio and can say its better than the cleaning solution that came with the printer. I finally cleaned properly the heads/ around them/ . There was a lot of crap that every next day was magically dissolved. I like especially the wetting non drying...

  17. Discussion ROLAND SOLJET Pro 4 XR-640 3RD PARTY INKS

I said it in another thread having in mind mine XC 540, so will just repeat it here : "Unfortunately none of the second hand printers i looked here In Spain uses original inks. Understandable. Roland ink is 240 per liter vs 60 per liter compatible and i have seen even for 10-20EU per liter...
  18. Where do I get the BEST?

You are absolutely in the wrong place and in the wrong forum. But you have been given very valuable advice about what printers and vinyl. There is a Roland BN20 group in Facebook and plenty of people do only fine stickers there. This the best place to start with. The other place to find what...
  19. Grease on Mutoh??

Most of the printers use square linear rail like Hiwin, THK and similar. Most if not all the information above is not correct. Basically to understand how the rails have to be lubricated is RTFM. Here is a link to a Hiwin lubrication manual IIn short - Never use WD40, Lubricants containing...
