    Signmart here in Southern California sells "HIGH PERFORMANCE SILICONE FOR THE SIGN INDUSTRY" and we have never had a problem with it adhering to acrylic. I would still try to convince my customer against it though since it is being mounted onto bricks.

    Summa Tech support has always been very helpful whenever I needed them. Try giving them a call. If its the machine or the software they will troubleshoot it with you over the phone.
