Yup. For the most part i don't miss this machine. The head strikes were random throughout the day and leaving it printing overnight was always a gamble - even if observed for an hour without any problems before leaving it alone.
There are add-on magnetic edge holders that are quite expensive...
My vote goes to temporary signs. Maybe until they get permanent ones made up or maybe because they think there will be a high turnover rate for the stores and don't want a permanent sign messing up their ultra-modern monument lol
Hi! Sorry for the late response. Its OK. Support has been a nightmare but it is relatively easy to fix print issues by yourself if you have prior experience with the DX5 printheads. Again, tech support is bad. They just blame everything on the software. Its not the software its the printer.
We've used it for jobs that are short term econo priced decals and it works just fine. Long term graphics indoors can tend to curl up on the edges. Long term sun exposure cracks and browns.
Does anybody have experience with this machine? I did a manual printhead flush with flushing solution to clear some nozzles. Afterward yellow refused to print. I though I might have gotten some air in the line so I flushed the line too and refilled with ink. Still nothing. I changed the...
I've tried and it does not end well. Whatever you use to wet mount it gets trapped in little pockets and winds up looking like a bad dry installation of regular adhesive vinyl. Its a waste of money and time.
Hi everybody! I recall there being something in the software for the summa flatbed that maps out the variances in depth on the cutting area to give a better cut but I cant seem to find it. It migth've been on another machine, but I figured I'd ask here because I'm not finding it it myself...
Corel can handle most .ai .pdf .eps etc files just fine. I added Corel to my workflow years ago to augment production but I find myself using it for all vector files now. The learning curve is a hurdle but it is much better for vector files in my opinion and well worth the little extra effort...
I've heard louder than normal clicking and narrowed it down to 2 things on my 360. each making its own sort of "clicking" sound.
1: might be the wiper blade is a little stiffer since it is brand new. when the carriage passes over it the wiper blade hits each of the print heads and since it...
Thank you both! Frank, I tried the USB stick trick and it did not work at first. It did go through all the check points but at the end it told me the Firmware file is not compatible so I did the Hard disk recovery that Jason recommended and then after that finished tried the USB again and it...
I keep getting "update fail. Firmware corrupt" when updating through the front panel. no error code or anything to refer to the manual. When I try to do a manual update through the embedded web server on my computer I get a "fatal error. restart printer" on the front panel and again, no...
I completely agree. I get on average 4,000 ml per head before changing them out too. I've gotten as little as 100ml and as high as 7,000 too though. Luckily anything under 1,000 is under warranty and HP will overnight air a replacement to you. Just keep an eye on your print quality and do...
