  1. For the computer geeks........

My suggestion is to take out everything but the processor, video card, and 1 stick of ram. Try booting it then, because you should at least get the bios load screen with all of that hooked up, if that doesn't work, try swapping out the ram sticks.
  2. where can I find

This brings up an interesting idea. I have the font in question, don't know where I got it, but if there was a way to keep track of what fonts came with what software it would be nice.
  3. ISA is in Orlando, Florida this year. Anyone going?

We have talked about it, but I figured we would go to either a show in Texas or Indiana, I know its not the ISA show but ist where we have gone it the past.
  4. Cable Connection & Router

Entering an IP address kind of depends on what the service provider is setup for, here with Cox, most of all the business plans come with a static IP so entering the IP then could definitely clear up some problems. Also, if this is your second Belkin router, pickup another brand. We have had...
  5. Font Filenames

A suggestion, download the trial version of CorelDraw 12, it includes their font manager program that you can still use even after the 30 day trial expires. Its a great way to install and uninstall fonts easily.

Any ideas?? Thought of a couple that are close but no cigar.
  7. should i convert to 3rd party solvent ink ?

On the Mimaki side of things, oem ink, runs about $120 for the 440ml carts, our bulk ink runs $100 a liter. Its true that there isn't a HUGE difference in the cost of the ink, but remember to times that difference by the number of inks you run, then that difference gets a little bigger. It...
  8. LED Display in Coldplay Video

We recently finished, and are currently installing two different Optec Displays, nice units, these are single color not the full color beauties that you find in larger areas though.
  9. looking for new plotter

You forgot one of the other favorites, Summa. I think when it comes to user opinion, majority of the users either say Graphtec or Summa. Both are great machines and you can't go wrong with either.
  10. New Computer - Slow Internet Access - Help!

There are programs to download that make sure that your network conifguration is setup optimially. There is also broadbandreports.com, they have a tool section and several html and java based tools that do the same thing, that way you don't have to install anything on your computer.
  11. On- site

I'll be the first to say . . . Currently, no.
  12. In need of help

If I was that good with a soldering iron I would remove it, but since I am not, I'll just leave it attached to the motherboard  And I did try copying over a different mup.sys and no go. I just think that I will be getting a new motherboard. Just thought I might of missed something...

  14. Computer question

I would still suggest running RAID 1 on any computer that data loss is critical to avoid. Ask anyone who lost a hard drive, and whether or not the were able to recover the data through some recovery service, how much they lost in downtime just getting the computer set back up. We lost a hard...

  16. Computer question

Bobby said it better than I was, I started replying to this and had to go, came back and here was this post from Bobby. Flexi's PM will take advantage of SMP, due to the fact that the rip threads are seperately run processes. That way it becomes the OS's splitting up of the two processors...
  17. Distort Crash

After you have tried messing with all of your settings and the plug-ins, it might be a shot to try reinstalling the software. A file may of gotten corrupted somewhere.
  18. Mac vs. PC

I wonder the same thing. A while back I compared my less than stellar design station against some Photoshop benchmark figures from Macs I found online. And those dual G5'a really were not any faster, especially when you figure in the price. And I don't see where Macs have a software advantage...
  19. I Thought Mac's Were Supposed to Be Easy!

I couldn't of said it better myself :Big Laugh
  20. Cuts a line twice?

Something else to check, is whether or not you have strokes on the items you are cutting. I have found that those have caused me similar problems in the past, especially on artwork imported for Corel.
