7.6v2 has been a safe upgrade so far, I do agree to stay away from 7.6v1. There are some really nice new features that I haven't had a chance to play with yet in 7.6v2, but it did solve a crashing problem that I had with my 7.5 install.

Which ever machine has an optical sensor would be the easiest. I have done this numerous times with our Mimaki's, works great.

You can install 98 on the computer, but it'll most likely require another hard drive, or a reinstall of xp. The problem is you file system, my xp installs always used ntfs, and if its a new box from dell, I would assume that it does also, 98 doesn't work with ntfs if I remember correctly.

Yep, remember the Zip drive too, purchased one just to be able to accept the media. The other pain were those darn people who like designing on a Mac, had to get MacOpener because of them. I think that for portability reasons, pen drives, or their offspring will be the thing to use anymore, so...

A couple of things, how old is the drive? Have you tried other disks? Is the cable hooked up the right way? Assume that you know what you are doing, but you always have to check. Another question, whats a floppy drive. :tongue:

I can't even get Corel 9 to open up on my design station I built last year, luckily Corel isn't what we use to do design work isn't it. We got an offer to upgrade Corel for $149 earlier this week, probably be looking into that ourselves.

v2 is buggy too. Sound like everyone in the programming field for computers can't do anything anymore. Just like EA's Battlefield 2, that piece of gaming is awesome when it works, but its buggy as hell.

Looking at the crawford or COUNTY font, and I believe that they are the same font considering how the serifs are on the bottom of the letters. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

A note on upgrading I recommend NOT installing 7.6v1, v2 should be released shortly, still isn't on the download page yet, just call you dealer. 7.6v1 had problems to put it lightly.
