If your latex does onboard profiling like the 360 does then you don't need profile generation in the RIP.

Tile in Onyx for sure. If you open the file in Job Editor it creates an .onx file which keeps the tiling and other settings.

There were 2 ink sets - pigment and dye. The dye faded very quickly, the pigment not so much.

1 year unlaminated, 3 with lam. I had laminated prints from my old 5000 series up for over three years and still looked good.

Pigment inks last ok outside. It's the cost of inks and media that would stop you using them.

I think we have had better luck with banner tape since it's designed to stick to PVC.

We've tried using calendared for clients wanting to cheap out and have just gone back to Avery 1105/6460 for all vehicle graphics now. Ease of installation and knowing it will stay down anywhere makes it worth the money.

We've done it a few times. Of course it's a lot of extra work but can look tidy if done properly.

Ink restrictions are automated in Onyx. Print and read the swatches. Ink limits are the only part of the process that requires human interaction really. Set the limits at the point where the patches are dark enough. Any more and you're just wasting ink and liable to give the problems you're...

We do work for a company with an older Epson eco sol printer. They send us a heap of work to do on our HP latexes cos theirs is down so often.

Wait till it's dry enough then run your knife down the edge on an angle. Not rocket science. If we are in a hurry sometimes we'll use a metal ruler but it's hard to get it in exactly the right position.
